Found. When I think about the title of this title and all of the things that went on in Found Season 2, Episode 13, I realize something – everyone is grieving something. They are grieving the way that they thought things were, the way they thought it would be, and the way it will be.
In Found, everyone experiences these things on a rotating basis. The last few episodes have felt like this. But there was something about this episode that made me think that every character was feeling a loss of something or for something.
There was also a lot of moving forward and a lot of trying to understand everything that has brought them all to this point. But, if you believe that they’ll figure it out, I feel for you. I don’t think that any of them will. I love this show, don’t get me wrong. But what I am worried about is none of these characters ever really talk about what got them to where they are.
We see it.
But I want them to talk about it and save themselves too. Yet, here we are.
Found isn’t doing anything wrong. It’s just my opinion. But here we are and this is just a lot of my opinion.

DON’T …
One of the things that we are blessed with when it comes to Gabi is her loyalty. She has a lot of it and some people that she would drop everything for. One of those people is a man named Bernie. Bernie was there for her when she came home after Sir kidnapped her. His wife was her therapist.
When he called Gabi she left the team and headed straight to Bernie’s home. Bernie was a Pastor at the church that Gabi attended and was there for her when she wouldn’t let anyone be.
Getting to Bernie’s home she finds him on the ground and tries to assess what is happening.
Gabi has always prided herself on being there for her friends, but she’s quickly learning that she hasn’t been as good as she thought she was. She hadn’t known certain things about Bernie that she should have. I think it bugs Gabi that she had let that relationship go a little to the side because she’d been so wrapped up in Sir. I think that Gabi knows that she has a lot to change about herself, but I also think that Gabi is afraid of that.
The police arrive and take Gabi and Bernie into the precinct. Trent seems to have cooled down a bit when it comes to Gabi and I appreciate that.

JAMIE
I can’t even imagine what Margaret has been through with her son being kidnapped and then being back. It feels like a lot for the viewer, so I wonder how she feels about it. Jamie is so distant and doesn’t want to talk about what happened to him. I know that he needs time, but there is something that isn’t adding up here.
My wonder is why Jamie has so many questions about what M&A does. My biggest fear with this show is that Jamie is partners with Sir. Like I don’t know – there is something that is there.
Jamie talks Margaret into going to work that day, which I don’t get but here we are.

BERNIE IS MAD
When the team brings Bernie into the offices in Found Season 2 Episode 13, well, Gabi takes responsibility – Bernie admits that he blames his sister, Violet, for the death of his wife – Maria. Maria had given Violet power of attorney because she didn’t want Bernie to have to make choices that he couldn’t make
But this left Bernie angry because his sister took his wife off life support. He was destroyed. His wife was his life and having that taken from him felt like the ultimate betrayal. For Bernie, this was the reason that he couldn’t stop fighting with his sister.
Gabi knows that Berni wouldn’t hurt his sister. They may argue and fight, but he wouldn’t hurt her. He was mostly angry for another reason – he felt that God betrayed him because he wasn’t there for him, the one moment that he needed him.
And that was the hardest thing for Bernie. Losing his faith was the worst thing for Bernie. Gabi just didn’t realize how much he had wavered from his position and faith. Hearing it when she goes to his church to see what could be going on there is a lot.

YOU’VE GOT ME
Sir is sitting in jail in Found Season 2, Episode 13 and yes, that makes me so happy. He’s crazy and I want him to be away from everyone. That being said though, I am not sure that Sir behind bars is going to change much. It feels like he’s still got a foot out the door. However, that being said, when Trent walked through the door to speak to Sir, I cheered.
I cheered because Trent ended up telling Sir that he would never speak to Gabi again. The sheer joy when he gets to tell Sir that – I applaud. Trent may not be on my good list lately, but I will give him points for doing this.
Sir wants people to bow down at his feet. But him having to be in a place where he’s not in control is enjoyable. It’s actually fun to see him not have control.

MOMENT AT BERNIE’S
The team is looking for more information. Dahn and Margaret head over to Bernies to try to gather any information they can. And here’s where we run into trouble again. And of course, it’s Jamie.
There is just something that doesn’t make sense in Found Season 2, Episode 13. Why wouldn’t he listen to Margaret and stay in the car as asked? He’s so interested in what M&A does, it’s as if he’s trying to feed someone information.
The security guard finds Jaime and brings him to the apartment that they are all in. I guess it was a good thing because they got to meet Leonard, who Margaret could tell was hiding something. Leave it Zeke to find a picture later that makes it seem as though Violet is running from him.
Only we find out later she wasn’t. She was refusing his proposal. She wouldn’t leave her brother. Violet didn’t see what life would be like if she wasn’t there for her brother, and wouldn’t leave him. Marriage meant a life beyond Bernie and fulfilling her promises.
I think that Violet is trying so hard, but she doesn’t know what to do for her brother. He’s not the man that she knew and I don’t even think she knows that is grief. Helping someone through grief, when they aren’t at the stage of acceptance feels futile.

DON’T TELL MARGARET
The team knows that there have been issues in the past with Violet and Bernie. Zeke plays an old 911 call, that shows that there were a lot of issues, but Gabi still believes in Bernie. She believes that there is more to the story.
What I do love about Gabi is that she goes by her gut a lot. Sure, anyone’s gut can lead them astray, but Gabi has faith in people and that is something that I can and do love.
This whole conversation leads to Dahn telling the team that he ran a DNA test on Jamie and the results are inconclusive. The team definitely has the right to be suspicious, but telling Margaret will push her away. Margaret needs to have faith in something and that right now is Jamie.
The team will get to the truth about Jamie, but right now they need time. All they can do at this point is keep an eye out.
Gabi has to concentrate on the 911 call and goes to ask Bernie about it. It turns out that he was upset because Violet was trying to replace things that Bernie’s wife had picked out. Bernie wasn’t ready to let any part of Maria go and was upset at his sister for trying to replace anything.
He comments on the room in the house where he thought that he had heard Gabi. Only it wasn’t Gabi. She runs to the room, and someone has added a picture of Gabi to the wall.
Is it a death threat? Is it an acknowledgment of what she’s done? What could it be? She gets Trent over – which I am all about. See, I think that Trent and Gabi will end up together. I am here for it. But I am not for Trent being there when it means that he’s going to arrest Bernie.
And he does just that.

DID YOU TELL THEM TO GO
What I do not understand is Jamie’s fascination with how M&A works. I don’t trust Jamie and I do believe that there is this motivation in him that we don’t understand. I don’t think that he wouldn’t want his Dad and sisters to know he’s back and go to Margaret. She was mean to him when he was young and taken.
Jamie asks questions about the team and about her hyper-awareness. She developed it when Jamie was taken. He does ask what she saw when she did it to him and Margaret tells him that she saw her son.
I have to think that Margaret is so blinded by her wants and dreams that Jamie is back, she overlooks all the pain that she’s been in. She may not be ready to hear it may not be him, but I have to wonder, isn’t she setting herself up for more pain?
Just because she won’t acknowledge the possibility that it might not be Jamie, doesn’t mean that the rest of the team won’t. I don’t think that they are doing it to be malicious. I think that the team is cautious out of love for Margaret and quite frankly, that shows their love for each other.
Jamie though, calls Dahn and Lacey out for talking about it. He says that the mole was removed when he was 10. And then throws a soda at Dahn and says that they’ll have better luck with that.
I am legit confused about how no soda got anywhere. Yes, I rewound that scene a lot, because I thought I lost my mind. But I saw nothing. And yes, little details annoy me.

INSTINCTS
Margarets hyper awareness is a gift – one that I think helps solve more cases than Sir does. She and Gabi are back at Bernie’s when she tells Gabi that her instincts are her superpower. Margaret may not be ready to hear about Gabi’s superpower, but she recognizes it to remind Gabi that it’s okay to believe in your superpower.
Gabi needs the people she loves to believe in her. I don’t think that any of us are without the feeling that we want people to believe in them. Her instincts do fail – in my opinion – when she keeps letting them lead her back to Sir.
She needs to not let Sir in her mind. But she feels the need to find Christian, even though a lot of people would tell her to run. H*** I am telling her to run. I think that Gabi and Sir do play a game of who will have the last word. Not necessarily with the world, but with each other.
Gabi gets to have the last word at this moment in Found Season 2, Episode 13, holding a press conference about Bernie, resulting in a lot of people calling the police station, demanding Bernies release. Trent may not be happy, but Gabi did trust her instincts, which wasn’t a bad thing.

BROACHES
The thing about Gabi is that she’s always going to have a heart that wants to make a positive impact. Simply put, she’s going to want to take care of people. Seeing Jamie asleep on the couch, she picks up his jacket to cover him up. As she does that, a broach falls out of the pocket.
Margaret thinks that Gabi is snooping, but Gabi sets that straight really quickly. She was trying to cover Jamie up. I don’t think Margaret is ever going to want to hear anything that is less than praising Jamie. She needs him to be home.
Yes, Jamie admits he took the broach and it leads Margaret to find something in Jamies other pocket. It’s a train – a toy train that was on Jamie’s desk when he disappeared.
That train – Margaret pockets. It’s something that you can see bothers her. Only later will we find out that the train was in Jamie’s room when he disappeared. A few days after he was taken, the train disappeared. Margaret blamed her daughters and said some really cruel things to her daughters.
She tells Gabi – after everything was solved about the train. She tells her this means whoever took Jamie was someone that she knew. Someone she trusted. She needs Gabi’s help to figure out who it is.
I think we all know that Gabi had planned on finding out who took Jamie, but Margaret also needed to hear it. She needed to know who took her son. There are just so many questions that are left unanswered. I just think that this will devastate Margaret when she gets the answers.

FORGIVENESS
Back to the broach. Margaret remembers seeing it on someone and starts going through pictures. She really has good awareness, because it was on someone in the background of a picture.
Ms. Pearl was wearing it.
The team heads to the church and I admit I had to double-think. Don’t ask what that is – it makes sense in my brain. Ms. Pearl hadn’t meant to do anything but to tell Violet what her actions had done to Bernie and it resulted in Violet getting hurt. But, Violet took off and Ms. Pearl says she has no idea where she is.
Gabi does though. She’s in the prayer room. Gabi and Margaret are able to convince her to get out of the room and get medical attention for her arm. They are also able to talk to her about forgiveness and how she doesn’t need it. She had done the right thing for Maria and no matter what anyone said, she did the right thing.
But the most important thing was Bernie and Violet were able to find forgiveness for each other in Found Season 2, Episode 13. Leonard was able to be there for Violet. There was a lot of forgiveness, but people realized that it wasn’t needed.
What was needed was a lesson in faith. Not necessarily faith in God, but faith in people and that not everything is bad.
Only is everything ok? Who knows. But we’ll figure it out.

OTHER THOUGHTS
- Learning how Margaret got her hyper-awareness was interesting.
- Jamie wants to be around Gabi more – why? Why is it that he thinks Margaret sent them away?
- Gabi and Sir – this whole struggle over control and who has the upper hand is meh
- Christian committing suicide – I didn’t see that coming
- Trent making a deal with Sir to find Christian – didn’t see that either
- Why does Sir think that everyone needs him? People can do things without him.
- I am glad we got to see flashbacks to the day that Jamie disappeared
- I really don’t trust Jamie
- Jamie’s fascination with Gabi is weird. Has he been informed this whole time?
- Don’t like the fact Jamie smokes
Found airs on Thursdays on NBC.
I like the moment between Margaret and Gabi, where the seeds were sewn that on some level, Margaret at least suspects that Jamie is not who he claims to be. I like the reveal that someone close to her orchestrated Jamie’s kidnapping. Yes, both the boy not being Jamie, and someone close to her was behind it all will leave Margaret devastated. I think the internal torture that she somehow failed Jamie, might dissipate once she knows Jamie “left” because someone he knew approached him. Of course, our Scooby Crew will be there for her when she needs it the most. I love being here with Margaret, because she has been the character I have had the hardest time connections to, so the show is doing an excellent job, because I now just want her protected and able to function.
Does anyone actually believe that Christian is dead. Remember the old trope — no body, no death.
I am still trying to figure out who is in the Sir loop, his level of confidence is rooted in more than delusion. Obviously, Heather, maybe Jamie, but it has to be someone closer to the gang. I am also interested in the Trent’s father side-story. How will this play out out, and how does it factor into the future of the show.
