Love is Blind season 8 tests what it means to fall in love…again. Do looks, money, and other things matter when it comes to matters of the heart? Or can you fall in love with someone sight unseen? Again, we are watching a bunch of hopefuls navigate these questions in Love is Blind Season 8, Episodes 7-9. And since we can’t control ourselves (as evidenced by Love is Blind season 8 episodes 1-6 breakdown and our episodes 7-9 breakdown), here is our breakdown of episodes 10-12 of season 8!
1. Have your feelings changed in general for the show in comparison to how you felt watching episodes 1-9 of season 8?

Lizzie: I mean, I still think the season has been subpar, but the show has certainly upped the drama, so there’s that! In fact, they can dial down the drama a little. Every man on this show is a walking red flag, it’s not even funny. Protect Daniel who now seems like the only man worth anything around here. Also, may these women all dump these men at the altar, amen.
Lyra: Absolutely. It’s all about the women for me now. Full stop. I want them to succeed independently of everyone. The men have proven themselves to be questionable and they can’t be trusted. Except maybe Daniel. We were a little bit nervous at first that he might have known what Taylor looked like before the pods. But Minneapolis just seems to be a small place and Daniel has continued proving himself as a stand-up guy who likes to do things like golfing or ice skating with his lady love.
2. Did Lauren and Dave make the right choice? Who was in the wrong or right?

Lizzie: I don’t think Lauren made a choice, but I think with some separation from this whole mess she’s gonna be glad Dave called it quits because she might have stayed and tried to fight for a man who isn’t worth it. I think Molly called it like it is in her conversation with Dave, he was trying to manipulate things so Lauren broke up with him so he wasn’t the bad guy, but he never really wanted the relationship to work or he would have tried to make sure his sister and Lauren and his friends and Lauren could meet.
Lyra: Dave set Lauren free when he broke up with her. It was very clear that he was pushing all of her buttons to see if she would break up with him. It’s a way for him to not be the bad guy. But he is the bad guy. Because Lauren was asking for more and not playing games. Dave thought this was a game probably orchestrated by his sister. And he was letting, quite willingly, his ego control his life. So him walking away and saving Lauren from future pain was probably the best thing he’s done this entire show. Like, he’s not going to go away anytime soon because if there’s anything a man like him doesn’t like, it’s being “misunderstood.” So he’ll definitely step into it when he inevitably releases a statement as if Lauren was the problem in the first place.
3. Molly was the MVP in episode 11. How do you feel about her conversations with Lauren and then Dave?

Lizzie: GO MOLLY. Like, we didn’t see enough of her in the pod episodes with Lauren, but somehow I didn’t expect her to be such a good friend and to come in clutch like she did. She was honest with Lauren, compassionate, and also supportive, but she was straight-up fire while talking to Dave. She dotted all the i’s and she absolutely did not let him get away with one lie. I don’t think he was expecting it, either, which made it all the more satisfying. He wanted to walk out of this the hero of his story and Molly made sure he (and everyone) knew he was the villain.
Lyra: Call me cynical but I feel like I’ve watched so much Love is Blind that I expected Molly to go for the guy that just dumped someone else. But Molly surprised us. She had Lauren’s back, kikied with Lauren like any good friend would do about the new ex-boyfriend, and then shut Dave down real quick when he tried to make excuses as to why he treated Lauren a specific way. She was refreshing and a part of me wished we saw a little bit more of her on the show outside of the edit Netflix gave her for her time in the pods.
4. Let’s talk about Virginia and Devin’s bed and pre-nup conversations. Where did that come from? Are they going to make it?

Lizzie: I hope not! This man is a Trump voter, Virginia. Leave him. A Black man who votes for Trump is a red flag. The way he avoided the question, the way he tried to turn it on you, the way he didn’t really give you the reassurance you needed. Nah, I hope you leave him at the altar.
Lyra: Even though I think Virginia is genuinely excited to get married, I think she could tell there was something about Devin that bothered her. I could see that in her hesitation when talking to Devin when they were in bed. It’s like she was circling what she really wanted to talk about because something tipped her off that they don’t hold the same morals and values. And yes, in 2025, who you vote for is about morals and not simply about your political party. Devin’s way of looking at things doesn’t match up with Virginia’s, despite how great it was that he agreed to the prenup. They’re not going to make it because below the surface, they’re not a match and don’t have long term built into them.
5. Taylor and Daniel are not the drama. They play golf, make Christmas cards, and ice-skate. Are they going to make it?

Lizzie: 100%. Who would have thought? I’m rooting for them more than any other couple. I hope they not only make it, but come to the reunion together and happy to prove that this show can still give us some real connections.
Lyra: When it comes to Love is Blind season 8, I’m that Paul Rudd GIF when it comes to Taylor and Daniel. The one where he says, “Hey look at us. Who would have thought? Not me.” Because these two weren’t giving long-term. And they were giving “I’m here for the social media clout.” But that kind of disappeared after she asked for her phone at the hotel and they both said “Bueller.” Everything that they’ve done since then, from making Christmas cards to just simply going ice skating, has proven that they take this seriously. They’re building memories and not drama. That’s why I think they’ll make it.
6. Monica and Joey are cute together. But is there an actual connection there that leads to marriage?

Lizzie: I don’t think so, honestly. I think like she said in the promo, she’s into it more than he is, and I think it’s self-care for Monica to walk away from that situation considering that. Like, I think deep down she knows she deserves better than a nice guy who she has fun with but who seems to be settling with her. Do it for us girlies, Monica.
Lyra: As much as I like Monica and Joey, the more that I see of them, the more that I think that Joey is settling. And Monica is not the kind of girl that you settle with. Nor do I think Joey should settle in the first place. And this conversation here in this beautiful garden is proof of that. She likes him but he doesn’t give her what she needs. And that’s not even in a mean way, at least I don’t think it is. She wants someone who is a little bit more physically affectionate. And if that’s not him, because that’s not his love language, that’s okay. They just need to talk it out and be honest with each other about how they might be great friends, but not great partners.
7. Sara and Ben have started to blend their lives together, her with her sister and him with his religion. But will they say yes?

Lizzie: Sara, no baby. NO. Run away from this toxic man who attends a homophobic church and who doesn’t think about things like Black Lives Matter. He isn’t who you want, and he has given us no real proof that he can become that person, only pretty words. And when there are so many issues, you can’t believe those.
Lyra: I found Ben’s church and listened to their preachings. There’s no way Sara should say yes to Ben. I also think that there’s no way that this man, who finds himself so closely tied to this church when it comes to his identity, doesn’t know how they feel about LGBTQ+ people. He knows. And just like the preachings that I watched, he runs in circles around what he actually wants to say. Like the video that Sara was concerned about and that she brought up to Ben, it took like 18 minutes for the “priest” to actually say something. He circled around an answer in the same way that Ben circles around making any sort of statement. Say “no,” Sara. Trust your gut.
8. Who is going to actually get married?

Lizzie: Hopefully only Taylor and Daniel. I need my girls to choose themselves.
Lyra: I’m with Lizzie here. Only Taylor and Daniel should get married. Everyone else needs to prioritize themselves and move on to bigger and better.
