Television changes people. I will stand by that because television has changed me. Some shows have gotten to me – some because they offer hope and others because they are an escape from reality. When it comes to FOUND, it’s a mixture of both. FOUND Season 2, Episode 15 ‘Missing While Seeking Asylum’, was a lesson in feelings, wrapping up storylines, and creating new ones.
FOUND, Season 2, Episode 15, Missing While Seeking Asylum, was a brilliant episode because it was different than any episode that we’ve seen thus far. I love how the show manages to evolve and make it feel natural. It doesn’t feel forced – the things that are happening to the characters. What it feels like is that we’ve been given a gift. A gift of amazing stories, emotional stories, and characters that we can see ourselves in.
FOUND has managed to surprise me, which doesn’t happen a lot. However, with this episode, there were so many things that I don’t know that I ever saw coming, but an episode that I needed. Why? Because so much happened and it was all things that I’ve been waiting for.

TRENT NEEDS HELP
I never thought Trent would let Sir get in his head. I knew when Sir broke into Trent’s house and baited him about his father, there was going to be trouble. Yes, pictures of seven children that disappeared were enough to crawl into anyone’s head. I didn’t think it would ever be Trent but, he did let Gabi into his head and she lives in there rent-free.
Trent’s father was at the center of this though. Knowing that his father was on the case of all these missing kids and nothing was done made Trent angry. He had to set aside the reality that finding these kids would be investigating his father. How does one do that?
I do believe that Trent wants to always be on the right side of justice and the law, I just have to wonder that even though he needs answers, will it change the relationship with his father in a bad way? I am just wondering how any relationship can survive an investigation.
Trent chooses to not tell anyone at the station that he’s investigating these missing kids’ cases. He knows that you don’t investigate anyone else’s cases. But when his father finds out that he’s looking into the cases, it doesn’t matter that Trent didn’t tell anyone at the station because his father did that for him.
I do love that Trent let his walls down and asked Gabi for help. She had to set some ground rules because HISTORY tells us these two don’t work together all that well. She wants to know what happened to these kids also. Sir taunted them both with the case and it feels natural that they work it together.

JAMIE AND MARGARET
There is so much about Jamie that is annoying. He’s so selfish, but then again, I don’t think he means to be. I don’t think that he understands what he’s doing and why it is that he’s in the wrong with the way he’s acting and what he’s doing.
Jamie has gone through a lot. He was kidnapped and the only person that he knows is the woman who took him. He’s loyal to her and I have to wonder also if he’s a little or a lot afraid of who she is and he has seen this person as his Mom for his life.
I am still wondering why it is that he can’t cut Margaret some slack and realize that he was taken from her and all she wants is some accountability. When she realizes that Jamie’s been going back to whoever took him’s household – she’s upset. She should be upset. Her son goes back to a place that he never should have been.
Margaret wanting to know who took her son is a fair feeling to feel. She missed out on his life. Jamie refuses to tell her who it is – it’s infuriating.
Why did Jamie come back if he’s not going to try to be a part of his family? Like at what point is he going to tell his Dad and sisters he’s there? At what point is he going to let people in?
I cherished the moment when Margaret said that she couldn’t do it this way because she was finally standing up her herself. It’s one of the few times that she’s set boundaries for herself and I think that is so important. I actually cried when she did and when Jamie walked out from it.
How Jamie and Margaret are ever going to get past him not wanting to tell anyone who it is that took him? I think that’s an answer that Jamie needs to get.

WE ALREADY STARTED LOOKING
It’s kind of funny to me that when Trent walks into M&A and tries to start talking to the team and telling them what needs to be done. I knew that they would have been all over this already. Gabi and the team do not wait for anyone to tell them what to do – especially when someone is missing.
They all know that this is personal to Trent and that since Sir is the one who put it in front of Gabi, she’s going to have issues not solving it either. The team may not always get along, but when it comes to finding the missing, they will always be one step ahead. Or at least started.
It’s been a few decades since the kids in question went missing. As the team looks for connections between them all and why they possibly could have been taken – I found this to be so interesting. The path that was taken to find these kids – age progression and all was interesting.
I loved that Jamie was able to help by sketching out the suspect. It had to have been a sense of pride for Margaret because she wants everyone to see that Jamie is a good kid. I just also think that she doesn’t know him at all and she’s looking at him thinking it’s the kid she once knew.
Jamie helping – he loved it. Margaret loved it. But, it didn’t change the elephant in the room.

FINDING THEM ALL
The team was able to find all the missing and reunite them with family. The kids had been taken because they were exceptional and they were on the verge of being deported. I didn’t expect that the person who did the taking was the person who did it.
But it was nice to see Trent and Gabi work together. It was nice to see that Gabi didn’t go to visit Sir when he called Gabi. Trent goes to jail and confronts Sir was fun to see. It was just also weird that Sir seemed to keep hinting towards there being a big secret in his family.
I think that part of what makes me intrigued with Sir is how he knows so much. What is it that allows him to get all of this information? I am just not understanding how he is getting all of this while he’s in jail. Or how he finds out at all. I know that there is supposed to be some mystery there, but I, as a viewer need some insight into Sir as an adult. What I am missing is any part of how he’s survived, but also how he makes money.
I do love that M&A has thrown a party to reunite all the people that they’ve found. It was really great to see them celebrating with the people that are home. I wish that we got to see that more often because I do think that part of what we are missing is the afterstory.
I want to know how people are when they return. It would be great to see more of the story. I want to know how families make their way back to normal (whatever that is for them).

WE TOLD YOU SO TRENT
There are many things that Trent does right, but when it comes to picking women in his life, he’s dumb. He is just not good at it. He seems like a desperate fool who is searching to be loved.
Sir, pull yourself together.
Your blonde-haired lawyer is bad news. I don’t trust her at all, but I never have. I also didn’t think Christian shot her and that’s a different story.
However, her firm becoming Sir’s lawyer and her begging to be on the case makes me not trust her more. What is it that she wants? She knows that Trent is the officer on it. Is this because she’s jealous of Gabi? Why does she want to be on this case?
I thought that she was someone that Sir knew and that she was helping him. Maybe she is and this is a way to be more open about it. Not sure, but also if Trent doesn’t dump her over this, there is no redemption for him either.

ZEKE AND LACEY
When it comes to Zeke and Lacey, I have always loved the way they are together. The two of them have always seemed to exist in each other’s space – safely. Each one of them has experienced such drama and chaos in their life, but they can be themselves around each other.
Finding safety in a person is a hard thing. It means that one has to be vulnerable. For Lacey and Zeke to let down walls and be vulnerable – it’s a lot that neither one seems to be ready for. Lacey’s experiencing too much jealousy and Zeke doesn’t have a clue as to what is going on.
She wants to move out and he wants her to stay. Both are too stubborn, so that’s why I stood up and screamed when I saw Zeke pull her back into the house and kiss her.
It’s about time.
Found airs on Thursday nights on NBC.

I guess Jamie is actually Margaret’s son. Now, I am more troubled than ever by his refusal to interact with his father and sisters. Also, Margaret is dead wrong for not telling them, especially her ex. I get that she is desperate, but her actions feel like she still has not moved past the “It’s all about me” aspect of her character.
I am waiting to see the bomb about Trent and his family that Sir has lit the long fuse on.
I agree that Heather and Sir are likely linked. They know they could not let on with the guard and surveillance. Once she is officially his attorney, I am interested in seeing how those interactions unfold.
Still #TeamGabrielleandTrent and #TeamLaceyand Zeke.
