When I use the term Mr. Irrelevant, I am most likely talking about an ex that I would like to pretend never existed. Apparently though, when the world using that term, it’s a sports thing. In particular, it’s a football thing, so therefore I can guarantee you I didn’t know what that meant.
Well, until there was a movie coming out with the title Mr. Irrelevant and I paid attention because it stars David Corenswet. David Corenswet can definitely get me to pay attention.
The actor is set to star in the Skydance Football Drama, which is all about John Tuggle. Don’t ask me who he is, because I don’t know and I am not about to get served football ads. I do know that he was picked last in the 1983 draft and that earned him the title, Mr. Irrelevant.
Now 1883 star, Isabel May is in talks to join Corenswet in the drama. She’s someone that we remember from Alexa & Kate. What role she’ll be taking on in this? No clue. But we’re paying attention.
Mr. Irrelevant will be directed by Jonathan Levine (one of our favorites). We can’t wait to hear more.
