We’ve made no secret that we’re looking forward to the adaptation of Britney Spears autobiography, The Woman In Me. As huge Britney fans, the book continues to have us in a chokehold, because again, we love her.
We know that everyone wants as much information as possible about the adaptation and there isn’t a lot of information out there. It does make rumors fly and the biggest rumors out there? Well that would be who is playing Britney Spears.
And director Jon M. Chu is shutting down the rumors of casting. Not that we’re calling him a liar – because there are a lot of things that people just can’t say. So we take denials with a grain of salt.
This past weekend a tweet went viral – one that suggested that Ariana Grande, Sabrina Carpenter and Millie Bobby Brown were competing for the role. The rumors came from a Life & Style article, which we’re just wondering why anyone is listening to Life & Style, but you know.

So what did John Chu have to say about the rumor? He took to Twitter and responded.
“None of this is true,” Jon responded. “Sounds exciting but have not had one conversation about casting this movie yet. We are way too early in development. Sorry 🤷🏻.”
