NCIS: Sydney Season 2, Episode 7 ‘Breathless’ looks to enter into the space of fandom with Blue (Mavournee Hazel) at the center. While they’re attending a concert for popstar Nova (Mel Jarnson), a member of the U.S. Navy choir (Chantal Elyse) dies a suspicious death. And it’s up to the team to figure out what happened while also experiencing a sacred right: entering the world of obsessive fans aka fandom.
From what we can tell from the promos and photos, the death of the U.S. Navy choir member was caused by the smoke machine used during the show. Somehow peanut oil got into it and they had an allergic. When they tried to use Nova’s epi-pen, it didn’t work, leading the team to theorize they were never after the choir member. They were after Nova. But being a popstar is no joke when you’ve got millions of fans all over the world. But no worries. Blue is there to guide them.
