With Prime Video’s Leverage: Redemption Season 3 just around the corner, we sat down with Christian Kane (Eliot Spencer) and Gina Bellman (Sophie Devereaux) to talk about what fans can expect from the new installment. The series will dive deeper than ever into the personal lives of its core characters.
During our conversation, both actors reflected on the tone of the upcoming season. While the show’s trademark wit and adrenaline are still very much present, this season leans more heavily into emotional territory and personal connections.
One particularly intriguing development is how both Sophie and Eliot are beginning to open themselves up to love. Though they didn’t give too much away, they teased that viewers will see the characters, specially Sophie, exploring new emotional bonds.
Bellman also addressed Sophie’s complicated relationship with her daughter Astrid, which has been slowly evolving since her introduction. The actress spoke about the rebuilding process between mother and daughter, and how the surprising rivalry between Astrid and Parker adds both tension and humor to the storyline.
As for Eliot, Kane shared his thoughts on the character’s emotional journey as he tries to repair his relationship with his father. He didn’t say whether that mission will be successful, though.
Of course, we couldn’t resist asking about possible special appearances in Leverage: Redemption Season 3. Both actors smiled at the mention of familiar faces from the original Leverage series. While they stopped short of naming names, they assured fans that some nostalgic surprises are definitely in store.
