“When the Doctor’s away, ship gets real.” That’s the tagline for the preview of Doctor Odyssey Season 1, Episode 15, Crew Week.’ And we have to say, after seeing not one, but two of the Odyssey’s most essential crew members down, this could not be more accurate. In the preview, our great doctor Max decided to head back home for a bit and color us surprised when he got to the front door, and we learned that he has a twin brother. We can only imagine what kind of drama will ensue with these two. What exactly is a second Max (yes, we know his name is not Max) like? Is he just as high-strung? Or is he the more mellow one? Also, what is their relationship like? Max has not mentioned him once since he stepped onboard the Odyssey.
Now, back to those crew emergencies. From what we can tell, Rosie, the top engineer, suffers an injury after something falls and lands on her foot. Whatever landed on her has caused her to need emergency surgery, or she’ll lose her foot. Then there’s our dear sweet cinnamon roll, and the captain’s second in command, Munroe. Remember, he almost died after being attacked by a shark in Doctor Odyssey Season 1, Episode 9, ‘Shark Attack!’, and he was recovering in Doctor Odyssey Season 1, Episode 10, ‘Shark Attack! Part 2: Orca!’ Thankfully, he received a lifesaving procedure that prevented him from losing his leg (Seriously, what is it with this show and losing limbs?); however, since he’s going to be dealing with a parasitic infection, he wasn’t quite out of the woods as we thought.
So, as you can see, we are heading for another tension-filled episode of Doctor Odyssey. Especially because Avery is the one who will oversee all of these emergencies. This is not to say we don’t have faith in Avery’s abilities, but we understand Rosie’s concern about not having a doctor on the ship to treat her. Will Avery have to go it alone, or will Max return in time? Will Tristan try to stop her, or will he be on board with her decisions? Here’s hoping that both she and Munroe make it alright.
