NCIS: Origins Season 1, Episode 17 ‘Darlin’, Don’t Refrain’ revisits the Sandman case from the first two episodes of the season, as it focuses on perhaps the one character on the show we have yet to focus on: Cliff Wheeler. Ironically, Wheeler might be the character we didn’t know we needed to focus on, or we didn’t realize we’d missed focusing on. But, as the Sandman case is so much about snipers, it feels like this hour is also going to be a lot about Gibbs. It kinda has to be.
How does it all tie together? We’re not sure, but we do know that on a show like this one, it has to, one way or another. We have yet to be let down by the storytelling threads of NCIS: Origins, after all.
