Time to get your Law & Order Season 24 Episode 20 ‘Sins of the Father’ sneak peek! What happens when you mix fake science with someone catching you and calling you out? If the evidence Shaw, Riley, and Brady are discussing in this clip is anything to go by, you become a victim. First, come the false accusations. And, eventually, comes murder (this is a Law & Order episode, after all). In this particular case, the detectives come back from interviewing a witness and report to Lt. Brady that, despite someone claiming otherwise, their murder victim was…not a Chinese spy. In fact, as Riley explains, they can’t even find evidence of this person being “in touch with anybody in China — including his own father.” (Ouch.)
We’re with Brady on this one: It’s definitely “a weird thing to do” to claim something like that about a scientist. So, what’s the motive for these lies and the murder? You’ll have to tune in to find out for sure, but as of right now, the detectives’ revenge theory sounds pretty, well…sound. (Living for Shaw’s air quotes on “somebody,” no matter what the outcome of this investigation is, for what it’s worth.)
