At long last, ESPN will have a new female-led, sports-focused studio show on Disney+. As announced at the Disney Upfront, Vibe Check is set to premiere on the streamer next month for all U.S. subscribers. The show will have three new episodes a week, delivering “fast-paced coverage of every sport with expert analysis, all-access moments, unapologetic opinions and a healthy dose of laughter – all while bringing audiences bold perspectives and unbeatable vibes.”
The closest ESPN has come to a show like this was Futbol W, hosted by decorated soccer star Ali Krieger and Sebastian Salazar last year. Given how many studio shows exist for covering men’s sports and the growth of the women’s game across sports, it’s reassuring that ESPN and Disney+ are expanding their coverage with Vibe Check.

“We are incredibly excited to launch this new show, which will provide a powerful platform for the brilliant women at ESPN,” said Burke Magnus, President of Content, ESPN. “The voices that will be leading this program have long been shaping the sports landscape, and now they’ll have this additional platform to bring their unique insights to the forefront in an even more impactful way for Disney+ subscribers.”
Vibe Check will feature “a powerhouse panel of female talent, the program will spotlight ESPN’s most prominent voices, leveraging their expertise, insight, and storytelling to provide a fresh, perspective-driven approach to sports coverage.” However, ESPN and Disney+ have not shared who that panel will include yet. Ideally, that news will come ahead of the show’s premiere next month.
