Casting. It’s a complicated thing and very subjective. Sometimes, as a viewer, we feel that a casting director gets things wrong and sometimes they get it so right. After all, casting a character, can make our break a television show or movie.
Adding Minnie Driver to the cast of anything is never a bad idea.
If you’ve read us for awhile, you know that Emily in Paris is one of our favorite television shows. Adding Minnie Driver to the series, which is currently filming in Italy, is never a bad idea.
According to Variety, who broke the news, Driver will play, “Princess Jane, described as “A friend of Sylvie’s (Leroy-Beaulieu) who married into a royal family.”
Driver posted on her Instagram, excited about the news. She captioned the post, “It’s why I’m in Rome! Second slide depicts moment of being told what was happening, third slide : ALL THINGS ITALIAN, (you know, except Adidas, but I stand by the wild garlic) I am BEYOND thrilled to be joining this sensational cast and show. Did you know I’ve known the sweet angel that is @lilyjcollins since she was 11? Because, her dad: Tarzan( sort of) and Me: Jane. And ROME! 😍My beloved.
This season is just ….✨🤸🏻♀️💘🌹”
We’re definitely excited to see Driver in the series. We’re always in support of the series, because it’s one of our favorites.
We’re curious though, what do you think?
