If you grew up in the late 90’s you definitely know what Dawson’s Creek was. It was the epitome of television at one time. Appointment television. It was a show that teenagers at the time learned about the complexity of friendships, falling in love, and everything being complicated.
Because when you are a teenager, everything is complicated. You just don’t realize that complication will last far past your teenage years.
Why are we talking about Dawson’s Creek? Well, because Michelle Williams, who played Jen Lindley was on The Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard podcast and talked about her time on the hit television show. She said Dawson’s Creek was a gift and that she “really wanted it.”
“I thank God that I got that show, and that it plucked me out and landed me on this sleepy southern coastal town, and that I had a job to go to and a place to be responsible to and met a few people there that are still in my life, that I love very much, that are so much a part of me, and had some kind of stability,” Williams said of the show and the filming in North Carolina.
It is rare for her to comment on her time on the show. We are just lucky that Williams stayed on Dawson’s Creek until the end of the show in 2003. She was amazing.
