One of the most highly-anticipated characters for One Piece just got a major update at Tudum 2025; Tony Tony Chopper.
The five original Straw Hat members, Iñaki Godoy, Mackenyu, Emily Rudd, Jacob Romero and Taz Skylar took the stage to preview what’s to come in One Piece Season 2, which is set to debut in 2026 on Netflix. And as part of their appearance, they surprised fans with a first look at Chopper.
The Straw Hats also surprised fans with the revelation that Mikaela Hoover will be voicing Chopper AND doing the facial capture for the iconic character. Hoover might be familiar to fans of Lucifer, The Suicide Squad, and Duster. As for voice work, she played Floor (the bunny) in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. And she’s set to play Cat Grant in the upcoming Superman movie.

One Piece is a live action pirate adventure created in partnership with Shueisha and produced by Tomorrow Studios (an ITV Studios partner) and Netflix. It’s based on Japan’s highest-selling manga series in history by Eiichiro Oda. And it tells the story of Monkey D. Luffy, a young adventurer who has longed for a life of freedom since he can remember. With his dream of becoming the King of Pirates, he essentially adopts a crew of adventures looking for freedom, adventure, but also family.
