DOC has been one of our favorite shows of 2025. We didn’t expect to love it as much as we did, but here we are. A new medical procedural that is unique, innovative, and filled with a ton of drama. We’re so excited that two of our favorites from season one – Patrick Walker and Charlotte Fountain-Jardim have been upped to series regulars.
If you aren’t familiar with Doc, it is about, “a brain injury erases the last eight years of Dr. Amy Larsen’s life, she must navigate an unfamiliar world where she has no recollection of patients she’s treated, colleagues she’s crossed, the soulmate she divorced, the man she now loves or the tragedy that caused her to push everyone away. She can rely only on her estranged 17-year-old daughter, whom she remembers as a 9-year-old, and a handful of devoted friends, as she struggles to continue practicing medicine, despite having lost nearly a decade of knowledge and experience.”
Walker plays T.J. Coleman, a first-year resident who has known Dr. Larsen for years. He’s smart. He’s charismatic. T.J. has an infectious smile and is very devoted to his family. Both of his parents are cops, and he served in the military.
Fountain-Jardim plays Katie Hamda. She’s Dr. Larsen’s daughter. Her father is Dr. Michael Hamda (who was our favorite in the first season). Katie and Dr. Larsen worked hard to repair their relationship in the first season, and we are assuming that they will continue to work on this in the second season.
Katie is sweet, sensitive, and compassionate. She lives with her Mom, hoping that they can make up for lost time.
The second season of DOC is set to have 22 episodes. 22 episodes are a lot, and we can’t wait to see what happens.
