Freaky Friday was definitely a movie for the ages – one that we loved and we’ll never forget watching. Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis were iconic in the original film and well… in most of the films that they’ve been in. But on the Freaky Friday point, it’s a movie that will live with us for a long time. Freakier Friday will probably be the same.
We were excited that there was a sequel, but also apprehensive. That being said, we’re a little taken aback by the trailer. We’re understanding of how bodies are switched – old becoming young and young becoming old. But we’re also a little put off by some of the weirdness of scenes with Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis acting like young teens.
Then again, we’re going to hold out for the movie.
This new film, “…picks up years after Tess (Curtis) and Anna (Lohan) endured an identity crisis. Anna now has a daughter of her own and a soon-to-be stepdaughter. As they navigate the myriad challenges that come when two families merge, Tess and Anna discover that lightning might indeed strike twice.”
In addition to Lohan and Curtis, Freakier Friday stars Julia Butters, Sophia Hammons, Manny Jacinto, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Rosalind Chao, Chad Michael Murray, Vanessa Bayer, and Mark Harmon.
