We hate when we love things, and the next thing we know, someone has cancelled it. It’s as if television shows don’t have a chance to grow and gain an audience. They have to start off strong, but it’s not taking into account the fact that people are busy and we need a bit of time to really zone in.
We’re upset that Étoile has been cancelled after one season, even though it was ordered for two seasons. It’s as if we were teased – told that we would be getting something, and so we invested, and then it was taken away.
Amy Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino’s ballet drama series, Étoile, was good. Prime Video deciding not to move forward with its second season is something that we don’t get.
According to Deadline, the show’s cancellation ultimately came down to performance vs. cost. We do get that we’re in a place in time where everyone is trying to cut costs where they can. We know that is happening everywhere, and we’re not mad about that, but we are frustrated when we’re told we’re getting multiple seasons, we invest our time, and then our time feels wasted.
What do you think? Are you upset that Étoile isn’t getting a second season?
