TBH, Maggie Lawson is a favorite. Why? Well, partially because it feels like we’ve seen her in every Hallmark film she’s done. There is also the fact that she was in Psych, and we absolutely loved the show.
It was announced that Lawson had been added to the cast of the Blue Bloods spin-off – Boston Blue. The show has Donnie Wahlberg’s character of Danny Reagan accepting a job with the Boston police department. The Silver family is like the Reagans of Boston. They are law enforcement royalty in the city.
And yes, Lawson will be playing a member of that family. She will take on the role of Sarah Silver, “the strong willed and decisive Superintendent in the Boston Police Department.” She is Lenas stepsister and Lena is Danny Reagans partner. Sarah is well aware of the thin like between the job and her family and how she has to work to balance the two.
You may remember that Ernie Hudson had previously been added to the cast. Hudson takes on the role of the leader of the Silver family, Reverend Peters. He is the father of Mae Silver, Boston’s District Attorney. He’s also got his grandkids on the force – Det. Lena Silver (Martin-Green), Superintendent Sarah Silver (Lawson), and rookie patrol cop, Isaac Silver. We find this information important as we’re following the family tree here. Looking forward to seeing how everyone meshes together.
Boston Blue is produced by CBS Studios in association with Jerry Bruckheimer TV. We’re excited and can’t wait to see where this show takes us. We’re looking forward to seeing Boston Blue this fall on CBS.
Boston Blue will premiere this fall on CBS, airing in the Friday 10 PM time slot.
