When it comes to shows that we could watch over and over again, there’s The Vampire Diaries. The show was part of what made fandom fun. It introduces us to ships and ship wars. After all, you were either Team Damian or Team Stefan. You just had to choose.
But we’ll not go there.
One character we always loved (and sometimes hated) was Caroline Forbes. She’d be a lot at some points, but comes to realize who isn’t. It’s the actress who plays her – Candice King – that we really love.
She’s uber talented.
We’re excited to see that King is in the Prime Video show, We Were Liars. This means that she’d be doing the rounds of press, and that means all sorts of new information coming from the star.
She was on the Nick Viall podcast and spoke about The Vampire Diaries and why she won’t let her nine-year-old watch the show.
“She really wants to watch it,” Candice shared on The Viall Files. “I’ve tried to explain it to her, you know, it’s a little scary, but also Mommy kisses a lot of boys.”
Not going to lie, this made us fall out of our chairs laughing – because yes, Caroline Forbes kissed a lot of boys. She did remember, though, one time her daughter said, “It’s not like you’re in your bra and underwear or something.”
Only in fact Caroline Forbes spent a lot of time without a shirt, “I’m like, ‘Well, Mommy’s in her bra and underwear, but it’s different because I was in the room with a lot of people. I was being paid,” King said and then added, “I was like, ‘No, no, no. That’s not the lesson here.”
