We like to consider ourselves romance aficionados, because well… we watch them all. Or at least it feels like that. But we’re not complaining. We’re embracing our love for the romantic comedy genre. Especially now, with Meghann Fahy and Penn Badgley starring in one.
On our knees, praying that You Deserve Each Other is as fabulous as it seems to be. You can’t go wrong with a good enemies-to-lovers romance. The book (yes, it’s based on a book) of the same name by Sarah Hogle isn’t bad at all. So, all of this together, we have faith that we’re going to enjoy this movie coming from Amazon MGM.
It’s said to be about “Naomi and Nick, a couple who are about to get married and live happily ever after, except for one thing: they’ve fallen completely out of love. With the wedding rapidly approaching and its pressure mounting, they both resolve to secretly push the other into calling off the wedding using all means at their disposal – pranks, sabotage, and all-out emotional warfare.”
Marc Silverstein and Abby Kohn are set to direct the movie. The script was initially written by Brett Haley and Marc Basch.
No word on a release date.
