If you ever want to feel old – come face to face with someone you remember being born and then realize they are a whole big adult. Trust – it’s not good for the ego. Then again, not sure I have an ego, so there we are with that one.
Back in the day Brandy Norwood was everything. She was a superstar and we all knew her music. Okay, okay at least one song – but The Boy is Mine was the jam.
The star had a little girl Sy’Rai Smith. It was all the controversy back in the day with Brandy getting pregnant and married. Never understood that one, because hey, it should be filed under the none of our business tab in life.
But Sy’Rai Smith is now grown and her Mama is helping her embrace her nepo baby way of life. Not saying that Sy’Rai isn’t talented – we have no idea. But when your parents are famous, you are definitely going to get a leg up. Being a nepo baby is nothing to be ashamed of.
Mama and nepo baby will be starring in Christmas Everyday which will serve as the tentpole to the network’s “It’s a Wonderful Lifetime.”
“The holidays are always about family as part of the festivities, so I’m beyond thrilled to be partnering with Lifetime on this magical holiday project and having my own daughter star with me – even though we are playing sisters!” Norwood shared. “It’s a Wonderful Lifetime has become such a beloved tradition, and I’m honored to star and executive produce.”
It will be Smith’s acting debut and with it being a tentpole movie for Lifetime, you won’t be able to convince us that the nepo baby doesn’t come into play here. Smith has probably inherited a lot of talent that her parents have helped her nurture. That being said, we’re not mad about seeing her in this.
In the movie, “Following the death of her father, Fancy (Norwood) has been more determined than ever to uphold his cherished Christmas traditions as her mother Evelyn (Debbi Morgan) has also begun losing her sight. But things aren’t a smooth ride as Fancy simultaneously plans her bridezilla baby sister, Belle’s (Smith), wedding. When a water pipe bursts and disrupts the fairytale wedding plans, Fancy finds herself unexpectedly drawn to the rugged, yet charming, contractor Jaylen (Robert C Riley), tasked with renovating the house. Through all the chaos, she learns valuable lessons about faith, family, and the true meaning of Christmas.”
Serving as some type of producer on the movie, in addition to Norwood, are Stella Bulochnikov, Dr. Holly Carter and Ryan Ramsey. Then there is Fernando Szew, Hannah Pillemer, Larry Grimaldi and Adam Shepard for Fox Entertainment Studios. But lets not forget the director, Roger Bobb.
Do you like the It’s a Wonderful Lifetime, series? Do you think Smith is a nepo baby? Tell us all the things.
