When it comes to Tom Holland, even when we know that he’s taking time off, it still feels like he’s everywhere. He’s made a career of choosing roles that he shines in and ones that challenge him, but that also has made it so that he can take the time off that he needs when he needs it.
The actor – working or not – always has rumors swirling around him. While he’s busy AF, with filming The Odyssey and then Spiderman back to back, there are rumors about other roles that he may take on swirling around the webs.
Tom Holland as 007? We all know that Amazon MGM has said they want a younger James Bond. While there are many names that people say would make a good James Bond like Aaron Taylor Johnson, Henry Cavill, and Theo James, we are wondering how young they want to go.
In a recent interview with GQ UK Magazine , Holland was asked about the rumor that he was on the list of possible actors to take on the role.
WHAT DID HE HAVE TO SAY?
“Listen, there’s speculation at the moment. We’ll keep it to a minimum for now. We’ll get there one day,” he told the magazine. But would he love to play the role? Who wouldn’t?
“Dude, I mean every young British actor, it’s the pinnacle of working in our industry,” Holland said. “I already consider myself to be the luckiest kid alive you know, I could not have dreamed to have the career that I have.”
The actor had taken time off after his 2023 series, The Crowded Room. He had said that the role broke him. During his hiatus, he focused on his other endeavors, such as The Holland Foundation and working on his nonalcoholic beer brand Bero.
But what does Holland want to do next? Well it turns out that it may be a role that he hasn’t taken on before. He’d love to do a comedy.
Holland said, “I think I’d love to do a straight-up comedy. That genre’s really taken a hit over the last few years. We’re seeing fewer and fewer of them. I’d love to do something where the question isn’t, ‘How do we bring emotion into this story?’ but ‘How do we make people laugh as much as possible?’ That idea of coming to set every day with that mission sounds amazing to me.”
We’ll watch whatever it is that Holland does. He may be the one actor that would get us to watch a Bond movie, maybe even become super fans.
