There are things that people are willing to do for their jobs and things that are a hard pass. For instance, setting boundaries and taking time off or putting in overtime when it’s needed. For Madelyn Cline she set a boundary when she agreed to Sarah Cameron’s storyline for the fifth and final season of Outer Banks coming to Netflix.
Now, if you are wondering about the storyline, that would be Sarah Cameron’s pregnancy. When Cline agreed to the storyline, she told Variety she had a condition: “Well, I’m not wearing a baby bump. Everyone’s like, ‘Where’s the baby?’ I don’t know. I’m not jumping over walls and getting thrown off the back of boats and sprinting at full speed away from bad guys in a silicone baby bump. When I said yes to this storyline, that was my one stipulation: ‘Please don’t do that to me in the South Carolina summer heat.’ Most of July, the heat index was 100-116.”
That is way too hot for silicone – we agree. Now, anytime is too hot for having to wear silicone – it’s not comfortable, so we definitely understand her decision. If people are questioning why she isn’t wearing one, people show at different times, and some people don’t show at all.
We’re just gonna sit here and wait for what happens next to happen.
There was also discussion about the time jump and whether there was one. We love that she’s just so blunt. “We pick up pretty soon after Season 4 ends. We have one big time jump in all five, but just like the prior seasons, everything happens in such a short amount of time; it feels like it would be this huge, months-long adventure, but it actually doesn’t take that much time at all. I think this one follows the same formula.”
We’re excited for the return of OBX and can’t wait to see the adventure. What do you think? How do you think it will all end?
