The final Wicked: For Good trailer was jam-packed!
It gave us a glimpse of new scenes, a first look at Nessarose (Marissa Bode) as the Wicked Witch of the East and iconic moments that fans of the Broadway musical know and love. There’s a lot to dissect, and we truly cannot wait to see the film. But here are the scenes we’re most looking forward to now that we’ve seen the final Wicked trailer.
Glinda’s propaganda press tour is featured in the final ‘Wicked: For Good’ trailer
The final Wicked: For Good trailer opens with words and scenes from Glinda (Ariana Grande) traveling across Oz to be a positive presence amidst the fear the Wicked Witch of the Witch — or The Wizard rather — has caused. We hear the song “Thank Goodness/I Couldn’t Be Happier” and see Glinda the Good receive her famous bubble and bubble wand.

This may not seem like the most exciting part of the last Wicked: For Good trailer, but it’s an element that’s unique to the film.
In the stage musical, Glinda doesn’t travel throughout Oz as Glinda the Good to help spread propaganda. There’s no grand tour or pink train. So we’re definitely interested in seeing Glinda’s travels and how Madame Morrible (Michelle Yeoh) and The Wizard (Jeff Goldblum) put Glinda to work.
Elphaba and Glinda’s catfight by Dorothy’s house
It’s no secret Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo) and Glinda’s relationship isn’t the same as it was when they initially visited the Emerald City in the first Wicked film. Fans of the stage musical have been anticipating this scene of the witches’ fight, hoping it would be in the movie, and the latest Wicked: For Good trailer confirms that it will.
The Wicked Witch of the West and Good Witch spar with broom and bubble wand, respectively, on the Yellow Brick Road with Dorothy’s house in the background. We don’t want Elphaba and Glinda to fight, but we’re here for an entertaining conflict. If it lives up to its stage predecessor, it’ll be sure to deliver some good laughs.
Glinda and Elphaba sit among the stars

Universal and Jon M. Chu have been teasing us with this footage for a while now, and even Wicked fans of the musical and books aren’t sure what’s going on when Glinda and Elphaba are sitting on a swing amongst a starry black and pink sky or background of sorts.
The final Wicked: For Good trailer doesn’t provide additional context for this, which continues to leave us intrigued. Why do they keep including it? Is it just an aesthetically pleasing and heartwarming scene, or does it play a more significant role?
A ‘Wonderful’ reunion in the Emerald City
Another scene we’re looking forward to is Elphaba’s reunion with Glinda and The Wizard in the Emerald City palace. The three of them are dancing in a room full of rainbow lights, seemingly happy and joyful. Fans of Wicked the Musical have speculated that this scene is “Wonderful” but questioned that because of Glinda’s presence.

However, the recent release of the movie’s soundtrack listing confirms that Glinda is now included in “Wonderful.” This marks another departure from the stage musical.
We’re eager to see how Glinda’s place in this scene goes, as she tries to get Elphaba to reconcile with The Wizard. And though it may not last, seeing Glinda and Elphaba happy and dancing together is heartwarming.
Glinda and Fiyero’s wedding
The final Wicked: For Good trailer shows us new footage of Glinda and Fiyero’s (Jonathan Bailey) wedding, which was introduced to us all the way in February 2024 when the very first Wicked trailer premiered during the Super Bowl.
The latest news? Animals of Oz storm the Emerald City palace during the ceremony. So it’s probably safe to say the wedding doesn’t actually come to fruition — likely to Glinda’s dismay.

But why are the animals running through the palace? Are they just retaliating against The Wizard with help and encouragement from Elphaba? Or was ruining Glinda’s wedding intentional?
This certainly isn’t the first time one of Jonathan Bailey’s characters’ weddings gets interrupted and ruined, but we’re still interested in watching it.
Elphaba and Fiyero are enamored in the Enchanted Forest in ‘Wicked: For Good’
Other Wicked movie trailers have shown us Elphaba and Fiyero reuniting for the first time since Elphaba left for the Emerald City, but the final Wicked: For Good trailer includes a magical, stunning shot of the couple. Elphaba and Fiyero hold each other in the Enchanted Forest, and they’re seemingly levitating?!
There are numerous reasons people have been eager to see their scene in the Enchanted Forest, but levitating was not on our list. So not only do we get to hear Erivo and Bailey sing a duet with “As Long As You’re Mine,” but Elphaba’s powers appear to be strong enough to levitate two entire people. Talk about showstopping!
Nessarose, Tin Man and Scarecrow undergo transformations in ‘Wicked: For Good’
Nessarose has been notably absent in Wicked: For Good trailers and features until this last one. Elphaba’s sister is very briefly seen in the Munchkinland governor’s mansion, and she appears to be floating?! We didn’t expect so many people to be levitating in this trailer!
That levitation spell in the Grimmerie is really being put to good use.

Even fans of the books and Broadway musical can’t fully explain what’s going on here.
Munchkinland’s governess simply doesn’t float in those adaptations. While it’s safe to say Nessarose’s fate doesn’t change — she is still the sister of the Wicked Witch of the West, after all — we look forward to seeing how Bode and Chu changed Nessa’s story and magical journey for the better.
For the first time in Wicked: For Good promo, Universal also provided a look at Tin Man and Scarecrow up close! Before, we’ve only seen them from afar, walking on the Yellow Brick Road and from behind in the Emerald City palace.
Unlike Scarecrow, they don’t really seem to be hiding Tin Man’s face. We can clearly see it. However, we see only a close-up of Scarecrow from behind, and that’s for good reason. (Avoid looking at Wicked Scarecrow merch if you don’t want any spoilers, though.)
If you know, you know. If you don’t, we won’t say much else besides that there are context clues.
