We’re back! In High Potential Season 2 Episode 3 ‘Eleven Minutes,’ Morgan and Ava finally have the heart-to-heart they needed, albeit with some unexpected consequences. Ready?
Here we go!
The Truth Is Always Better

In High Potential Season 2 Episode 3 ‘Eleven Minutes,’ Morgan finally opens up to Ava about her father. It was a conversation that should have happened about two episodes ago, if we’re being honest. But hey, it’s here now. And Ava wants to know everything. It’s hard, but she’d rather know what’s going on than the uncertainty of not knowing anything. And when she finally does, she tries to convince herself that she’s okay. It’s convincing enough for Morgan to believe it, but the reality is very different.
Ava feels a lot of things. Anger, pain, sadness, disappointment… but most of all, she’s angry with herself. A part of her regrets telling her mother she’d rather know everything because knowing makes her face the reality that her father did abandon them. She’d been certain of that for a long time and was learning to live with it. But Morgan’s faith in Roman, her certainty that he wouldn’t be able to leave them, gave Ava hope. Maybe there was an explanation, a reason why her father disappeared.
But in High Potential Season 2 Episode 3 ‘Eleven Minutes,’ Ava discovers there isn’t. Her father abandoned them. He hid and let them believe he was dead for years. Yet, despite everything, Morgan remains certain there is an explanation for what Roman did, even if she doesn’t know what it is. The Roman she knew would never have left them because he loved them with all his heart. Morgan’s blind trust in Roman keeps a part of Ava hopeful, and she silently prays that her mother is right… because she doesn’t know if she could bear it if she wasn’t.

Prepare for the Worst

Even though Morgan remains firm with Ava in High Potential Season 2 Episode 3 ‘Eleven Minutes,’ a part of her, the more rational part, can’t help but prepare for the worst. The truth is that no matter how much Morgan thinks about it, she can’t find a good enough explanation for why Roman never showed the slightest sign of life during those years—and neither can we, honestly.
Maybe Morgan can understand and forgive, but what about Ava? If Roman doesn’t have a convincing explanation for everything that happened, will Ava be able to forgive him? That’s why Morgan dares to ask the daughter of the victim in the case she and the team are investigating. After all, her father screwed up big time too, but ultimately, he decided to make amends, get closer to her, and fight for a relationship with his daughter. And she left him.
Morgan can’t help but wonder why. She needs to have hope that Ava and Roman can have a relationship, that no matter what happened and what Roman did, Ava will agree to give him a chance and, in time, be able to forgive him. But, sadly, hope is sometimes not enough. We’ll see what happen in this case.

Other Stuff in High Potential Season 2 Episode 3 ‘Eleven Minutes’

- Ava suddenly asks Morgan about Roman, conveniently after the whole serial killer case is over. Sure, Jan!
- It didn’t go unnoticed by us that Karadec is the only one who realizes Morgan isn’t okay and worries about her nonstop. He supports her and makes it clear he’s there for her. He keeps his distance, giving Morgan the space she needs, but he’s still there. And we love him!
- It was clear Ava needed to vent somehow.
- And we loved the way Morgan defended her tooth and nail—even though she was furious with her—from that idiot cop who refused to understand that this wasn’t a police matter.
- Seriously, the guy was a jerk, and we loved seeing him splattered with paint. It was worth it.
- We also loved that Ava apologized to Morgan and realized that what she did wasn’t right.
