The three part emergency on 9-1-1: Nashville comes to an end in Season 1 Episode 3 “Forces of Nature.”
With Don in intensive care after being struck by lightning, the rest of the team has to step up. Ryan in particular will be acting captain as the team faces various emergencies. One of them is set to be a child trapped in a trailer hanging off a historic Nashville bridge according to the synopsis. But we’re more interested in the fire tornado in the promo.
There does seem to be one thing about the synopsis that feels a little off. A part of it says, “Meanwhile, Blythe pays a long-overdue visit to Dixie.” But didn’t Blythe come to Dixie’s work place in 9-1-1: Nashville Season 1 Episode 2? So either the synopsis is wrong or this is the confrontation between them. But also, what about the other confrontation we saw of Blythe in Dixie’s house before 9-1-1: Nashville even premiered?
Either way, the show is trying to make it seem like the women of this show have this big rivalry. Instead I wish Don would step in and clean his mess instead of making it a woman vs woman narrative. Been there, done that a bajillion times. It’s old. So get out of that coma Don. You got fixing to do. But I would like to see Blue and Blythe interact.
Also, hoping against hope that we learn a little bit more about why Ryan’s marriage fell apart and less about Blue. I know the latter is a main character but he’s still painfully boring. Instead give us a little more about Roxie and Taylor. We’re begging you 9-1-1: Nashville. It would really round out the cast and give us something to focus on besides the drama surrounding the Blue of it all.
