NCIS Season 23, Episode 3 ‘The Sound and the Fury’ brings back Torres’ frenemy Agent Sawyer, and also the name NCIS Elite, and the ghost of Sam Hanna. Now, we know what happened to Sam and where he is right now, but at this point, you can’t say NCIS Elite and expect us not to think of Sam, or hope that we will get some info on him or anyone else from the Los Angeles office, for that matter.
Just as you can’t bring back Sawyer and not make the episode mostly about Torres. Those two go together like… I’m not sure anymore. Last we left them, they had buried the hatchet. Or had they? It gets so confusing with this back and forth.

Personally, I don’t like the idea of bringing back an idea of a team that got nuked a year ago, even if it’s to clearly to see Jess deal with what happened to her REACT team.
And I wasn’t even thinking about the possibility of an LA update until now. (hope is still out there)
