It’s a little over a month until Christmas. We can’t believe that the time is almost here for the holiday. 2025 feels like it went by in a flash. But, that isn’t so bad, because it means Countdown to Christmas season is here.
While we always expect new movies, we didn’t expect what Hallmark is giving us now. What is it? A Christmas special. The Hallmark Christmas Experience: A Hometown Holiday Christmas Special, premiering Saturday, December 6 at 10:00 p.m. on Hallmark Channel and streaming next day on Hallmark+.
Benjamin Ayres is set to host the special, which will take place at the Christmas Experience at Crown Center in Kansas City, the home of Hallmark’s headquarters.
“Christmas is a special time of year for all of us at Hallmark and we can’t wait to celebrate with an all-new holiday special hosted at Hallmark’s Global Headquarters and the home of the Hallmark Christmas Experience,” remarked Darren Abbott, Chief Brand Officer, Hallmark. “Fan-favorite actors, special musical performances, and behind-the-scenes sneak peeks will make this a special event you won’t want to miss.”
The tree lighting ceremony will take place featuring performances by Brad Paisley and Mickey Guyton. Paisley has worked with Hallmark on Countdown to Christmas this year, writing and recording music for A Grand Ole Opry Christmas as well as the Countdown to Christmas anthem.
As Hallmark does, the event will give us sneak peeks, announcements and will feature some of our favorite Hallmark stars. Those stars include Andrew Walker (Three Wiser Men and a Boy), Tyler Hynes (Christmas Above the Clouds), Kimberley Sustad (Merry Christmas, Ted Cooper), B.J. Britt (The Holiday Stocking.) and many more.
The event will also feature an appearance by Lacey Chabert, who will share an exclusive announcement about her 2026 Countdown to Christmas movie.
This sounds like a great event and we’re sure it is one that we will be watching. Are you excited for it? Will you be at the event? Tell us all the things.
