Well, well here we are and we’re back talking about another vertical drama – Undress A Billionaire. Starring Lawson Greyson and Tim Stein, the series follows, “a young woman takes a job at an art studio, after losing her father and home, where she encounters a mysterious billionaire from her dreams-the same man who’s desperately searching for someone from his past.”
Now there are somethings I love and somethings that I don’t about verticals. What will always get a laugh out of me is when people believe that wearing a mask is going to hide them. As if it keeps people from noticing who you are. Umm… if you do this and people don’t know who you are – WTF. They are in need of glasses or genuinely not smart. It’s really not that hard to recognize someone.
But that being said, Tim Stein is playing Jeffrey – a billionaire who does some naked modeling so he can find the girl he fell in love with as a kid. He may not be able to recognize her but he’s buying up all the sketches of him because he does recognize her signature.
He’s got a packed crowd daily, his luscious lickable abs and bare a$$ taking front and center. Maybe none of them are concentrating on those things versus the mask that he wears. But come on – Jeffrey has very unique eyes and if you can’t recognize those, please enlarge a picture of him and see what we’re talking about.
There are the usual tropes – flash marriage, setting someone up, stepmothers from hell, kidnappings and ransoms, etc. But somehow it all just flows, even the lies. And hey, Jeffrey tells a lot of lies. Then again, so does Chloe (Lawson Greyson), but with her it’s because she’s been lied to over and over again.
Chloe and Jeffrey enter into a marriage of convenience, but you can tell even in the business arrangement these two have feelings for each other. Chloe doesn’t recognize him as the model and she’s been having an affair with. She doesn’t want Jeffrey to know – but hey newsflash – he already does.
What I hate about shows like this is that words like “slut” and “tramp” freely and without thinking of the implications of using such words and also how taboo words like that are. The implication of such words and acting like they should be used as easily as we use the words “the” or “ant” is just wrong.
What I do love about vertical shows is that there always seems to be a boy that fell in love as a kid and remained loyal to the thought of being with the girl he met that summer and stole his heart. They just somehow never get that girls name. Somehow they rarely even remember what they look like. So hey, at least they love for who that person is on the inside.
With these two characters – both have a kind heart. Neither one is looking to take over someones livelihood. That is Chloe’s stepmom. Jeffrey and Chloe have different intentions and really just want to be there for each other.
Her stepmom and stepsister are pure evil. They set Chloe up to get arrested. They think that in doing that she’s going to sign over her fathers business and they are WRONG. The step-monster is trying to get her to sign papers, telling her that her father is dead. She doesn’t believe it. As a matter of fact, the whole situation of getting arrested made Chloe believe even more her Dad was alive.
Eventually Chloe and Jeffrey save her Dad and figure out who they are to each other. It’s actually endearing to watch them really just feel that sense of connection with each other. The way that they find a peace with each other just makes you feel like achieving that is possible.
Vertical dramas keep improving and they are interesting. Yes, they are soap operas, and yes that isn’t for everyone. But if you’re looking for a shorter vertical to watch, but still enjoy the drama – Undress A Billionaire is a good one.
