While we love Minnie Driver as an actor, we have to admit that her character on Emily in Paris is not a fave. Princess Jane is a selfish narcissist who ruined Rome for us, so she can go away.
We may be the only people who are annoyed by her and resentful of Emily not being in Rome. What can we say, grudges are held. But Darren Star created the show, and we know that he knows what he’s doing.
The show has gained millions of followers hanging on every moment of the show. The show has made such an impact that Star was even awarded the Knight of the Legion of Honor for his contribution to France.
“She’s hilarious. I know Minnie Driver personally. I know her work. I’m a big fan of hers,” Darren Star told Variety. “And so when I developed the character, I just thought she would just be the perfect person to step into those shoes. And I think she just nailed it beyond what I hoped, actually. She just completely got it. I feel like she took what I wrote and took it to the next level.”
But the bigger question is: will she be part of season 6? Well, he says that, “If we have a Season 6, she’s set to come back.”
Umm what do you mean by “if,” because we need a season six. Especially after that cliffhanger.
