Once again we’re having to revisit the whole we should not be commenting on peoples bodies and trying to drag them for their bodies not being what society says that it should be. Well men that is – because women know that bodies look different all of the time.
Across social medi apeople have a tendency to comment on professional athlete Ilona Mahers body. On TikTok a man commented and said she looked “pregnant in that dress,” but then erased the comment. No worries though, Maher was on top of it and clapped back.
She started her post by saying, “A guy recently commented on a picture of me and said, ‘You look pregnant in that dress. He deleted his comment because I had a great comeback, but I want to do it again for you all.”
She then continued, “To him, I say that’s just a normal woman’s body. You probably haven’t seen a woman naked in a long time, if ever, and I hope you never get the privilege to again, because that’s just how we are, OK? That’s just what we’re working with.”

When on the red carpet for The Hollywood Reporter and Spotify pre-Golden Globes party she posted a video of herself, “Honestly loving when people make dumb comments cause it gives me content so fire away. I won’t be blocking out your names when I respond.”
We love that Ilona isn’t afraid to confront trash talkers, but also to stand up for women everywhere.
