We barely saw Josh and Oliver together, you people and the writes are headcanon-ing this whole deep, life change, transformative love they have for each other.

My money is on Sofia being a figment of Wolf’s imagination. This show loves to show us people’s inner worlds and how mental illness can effect anyone. Sofia has a lot of design parallels to Wolf (dresses similarly, has an apologeticly strange personality, drinks tea and tends to the plants) and shares brainwaves with him. She even called Josh narcissistic for dating a neurosurgeon!

So far, nobody else has interacted with or acknowledged her presence. Josh stood in the doorway while she was in the room and didn’t even glance in her direction. Tbf, Wolf was possibly blocking her from view, but that’s also strange. Josh wouldn’t know who she is anyway, so why did Wolf feel the subconscious need to hide her?

I think that’s why she’s also present at the mental hospital with him. “I came to rescue you” might actually be a statement about himself. He admitted himself into the facility to save himself. He’s unable to admit he needs the help, but he can get where he needs to be by framing it as a length to go to save a patient.

Tbh, perhaps the last bit is wishful thinking on my part. I think Evil Scary Mental Health Facility is overplayed and contrary to the pro mental health advocacy messaging of Brilliant Minds, so having the twist be that they aren’t the bad guys and Oliver needs to accept help would be way more meaningful to me.
