A lot of us are excited that the Winter Olympics are starting. Doesn’t matter if you like sports or don’t – there is something in the Olympics for everyone. While it’s late in Milan Cortina and we’ve still got a few hours until the opening ceremony airs here in the United States, we’ve been reading up on what is happening in Italy.
Though Taylor Swift isn’t at the Olympics, she did send a message to the Olympians. In a video on social media she said, “I just wanted to send a message to all of the athletes that are competing in the Olympics. I just wanted to say thank you.”
Taylor then added, “Getting to learn your stories, and seeing everything you sacrificed and all your determination and hard work and passion. Everything that has gotten you to this point where you’re so excellent at something, it’s just really inspiring.”
She then finished off the video saying, “I am very grateful for everything you’ve done to get to this point in your life and grateful that you’ve brought all of us along with you on this journey so we get to watch you do this and I hope you have a wonderful Olympic games. Wishing you all the best of luck and a safe journey, and I hope this is an experience you cherish for the rest of your life.”
