1. How have your opinions of the couples changed after this batch of episodes?

Lizzie: I told you all Chris was giving serial killer!! I feel vindicated! And I thought Alex was sus too, so hey! I didn’t think he was “don’t know how women’s menstrual cycles work” bad, but I didn’t think he was good either. So I feel like I got it right there. I’m still where I was with Brittany and Devo, too. They’re 100% not gonna make it. And I think I’ve soured even more on Emma and Mike. Like, this isn’t a solvable problem, my dudes? Why are you even pretending it is? Feels like a waste of time. Still love Vic and Christine.
In fact, the only couple I have kinda changed my mind a bit on is Bri and Connor. I kinda see it now, I’m not gonna lie. I think they could bring out the best in each other. Will they, though? We shall see. For now, all she needs is to tell Chris to go to hell.
Lyra: 1000% I should’ve trusted my gut and Jess’ gut when she compared Chris to Dexter. He was unhinged and should’ve been screened before going on this show. Then there’s Brittany and Devo. I honestly thought they were done done and that he wasn’t attracted to her. But honestly… they just seem like they needed to talk. And that conversation on the couch really helped. It felt like I could see them as a couple for the first time and understand what they see in each other. But there’s also the allegations circling online… so yeah…

2. Who is the biggest red flag of Love is Blind Season 10 Episodes 7-9?

Lizzie: I CAN’T EVEN CHOOSE. Like, I guess Alex because he’s still actively engaged to someone, so run away Ashley. I don’t even love Ashley that much, but she still deserves better than Alex. I’m team Ashley’s dad. Ashley’s dad was the best. From “I don’t think honesty is his strength” to “she’s a bad picker,” he was perfect. And okay, Alex did walk into that conversation where he proved he is a) not that attracted to Ashley, as we suspected and b) has no idea how women’s bodies and/or reproductive cycles work. But, but… there’s Chris!
Look, by that last meetup Chris was giving legitimately scary. Like, if I met that man I wouldn’t want to be left alone with him creepy. It’s not just that he was an asshole to Jessica, or that he had such a high opinion of himself, it’s that he was acting as if he was owed something and that something was Bri. Alex I’d walk away from, Chris I’d run away from. I think that’s where I stand.
Lyra: Alex is the biggest red flag. He acts like Ashley wants to baby trap him. Or just generally trap in a marriage. My dude, you came on Love is Blind looking for love and a marriage. You proposed to Ashley. You can’t just now turn around and act like she tricked you into a partnership. That’s all you, Alex.
Kudos to Ashley’s father Paul. Not only did he ask Alex 31 questions (yes, I counted). He also said, “I’m not saying he is a bad person, I don’t think honestly is his strength.” Basically, the can read Alex like a book and what he sees he doesn’t like. If they do get married, he’s going to have those divorce papers ready!
3. Vic and Christine had an important conversation about children and the challenges they’d face. What are your thoughts?

Lizzie: I really love these two and I love the fact that they had this conversation, because it’s not something you can handwave in their position. And the awareness is important, I don’t think they would have even made it here if they weren’t on the same page. But awareness only takes you so far, you have to actively be noticing things and pushing back against some narratives. Especially if they want to build a life together. And I think they can, because they’re aware and they’re willing to put in the work.
I just like honesty. I feel like the last few seasons of Love is Blind have come off as a bit superficial. We weren’t having these conversations, not in a way that felt honest. Now we are, and that helps the feeling that these couples can make it. Vic and Christine are my favorites and I think the ones who are more likely to actually get married.
Lyra: Vic and Christine had one of the most important conversations of this season. Because we don’t live in a world where color doesn’t matter. Vic’s experiences are different from Christine’s because of the color of his skin. And their biracial children will have different experiences that he’ll understand more than she will. Even then, that child will also experience things that Vic as a Black man and Christine as a white woman won’t be able to understand. So being on the same page and expressing their fears and worries is a good sign of where they are in their journey and how committed they are to the process.
I do want to add the caveat that this season has been light on the important conversations these couples should be having. If you’re going to marry someone shouldn’t you talk about the important things like political views, LGBTQ+ rights, gender roles or religion? I feel like this season even kept it light on religion while leaning into talking about having babies. Choices, Love is Blind. It’s all editing choices.
4. What was Chris’ actual problem with Jess? What led to the end?

Lizzie: He wasn’t attracted to her. He went on a show called Love is Blind, but he doesn’t think Love is Blind. He wanted a woman who looked x way ,and despite all the pretty things he said about not caring, he did care. That was his problem. And honestly, if you’re gonna go on Love is Blind for the clout, which what else was he here for, then he should have at least presented himself in a more likeable manner.
I wish people were at least brave enough to go “actually, love is not blind because now that I’ve seen you I realize I can’t overlook that you’re not my type.” At least then maybe I’d have some respect for them.
Lyra: Chris said, “I date people who f*cking do, like CrossFit and sh*t.” And then Jess followed up asking him if he usually dates someone with a different body. He answered with, “It’s just, like, somebody who does f*cking Pilates every day.” And it was all Chris being an actual coward who shouldn’t have signed on for Love is Blind in the first place.
If Chris wasn’t attracted to Jess, he could’ve just said that. Instead he went and turned it around like if Jess isn’t fit enough. First of all, she’s tiny. Did you want her to gym bunny tiny? Secondly, she’s a doctor and she’s busy. If your lifestyles are incompatible, say it. Chris made it all the worse by going and trying to play damage control with Connor aka the man who is with the person Chris wants to be with aka Bri.
5. Our couples were reunited with those from the pods. What moment can’t you stop thinking about?

Lizzie: THE GIRLS HYPING UP JESSICA. I don’t think we’ve gotten enough moments like this in the last few seasons, and I absolutely love it. Because they are right, Jessica is a babe, and if Chris can’t see it, his loss. So much of what we go through as women can only be understood by other women, and I’m glad Jessica has her Pod Squad on her side. Especially considering Chris is… you know, Chris.
I really liked Amber in this scene, too. Amber was done. I thought Amber was a little too timid about other things, but in this particular moment, you could see that she was ready to defend her girl. And I love her for it.
Lyra: Forget Chris and how he’s trying to convince Bri that he’s a better choice than her supposed fiance and his friend Connor. The best moment of the reunion was the women having each others back. As soon as Jess came in they loudly started complimenting her about how “Your body is tea!” and “Do you work out?!” That’s friendship. That’s girlhood.
Special shout-out goes to Ashley and Amber. Ashley was the one yelling out the quotes listed above. And Amber was ready to square up for Jess. Afterwards when Chris was trying to butter up Amber when she was with Jordan, Amber kept it classy. But she also didn’t let Jordan shush her because he “loves Chris.” (Didn’t like that comment from Jordan at all. Amber can do better.) At the end, Amber asked, “You think you’re gonna get another hot doctor?” and then walked away. Queen behavior.
6. Who will make it down the aisle? Who has ZERO chance?
Lizzie: No way Emma and Mike get married. They should not get married. I also don’t know if Amber and Jordan are there, I think their lifestyles might not be compatible. Even if they do get married, do we think they’re gonna make it? I’m pretty sure Vic and Christine are making it, and hey… I think Bri is going to tell Chris where he can shove it and go ahead and marry Connor. What can I say? I believe in love or something. I mean, I believe in Victor and Christine’s love. Ofc.
Ashley is not gonna marry Alex, and if she does (she won’t), dad will have divorce papers ready ASAP so we’re good. And I think Brittany and Devo aren’t even gonna make it to the altar. You can’t convince me he is actually all in.
Lyra: Vic and Christine are absolutely making it down the aisle. They have that locked down and it feels like it’s going to work. Everyone else, they’re going to go down the aisle and then say no.
Emma isn’t on the same page with Mike. And neither are Amber and Jordan, who honestly feel like they have no sustainable spark. Ashley and Alex are probably going to make it down the aisle, she says no, and then her father cheers. I hope Connor says no to Bri because she seems to maybe be a little hung up on Chris, which doesn’t bode well for her.
The only wildcard that I can’t pin down are Brittany and Devo.
