*MAJOR SPOILER WARNING FOR THE TRAITORS SEASON 4 FINALE*
The Traitors Season 4 Episode 11 “Let Battle Commence” sees a traitor win it all. Rob, who has been a traitor since day one, has won Season 4 of the Peacock series. He stood strong this episode as suspicion fell on him from Tara and Johnny. But his connection with Maura was his saving grace at every turn, even when Eric turned his back on Rob just like Rob did to him.
At the end, Maura was devastated at the revelation that Rob had lied to her. But it’s the name of the game and even she clocked that while still being disappointed. Either way, congratulations Rob on the win. And we’re really looking forward to that Season 4 reunion right after the finale.
So sit back, relax, and join us for our breakdown of The Traitors Season 4 Episode 11 “Let Battle Commence”!

1. Johnny and Tara made it much farther than anyone would have expected. What did you think about how they played the game? Did they deserve to make it this far?
Lizzie: I’m going to go on the record and say that even as someone who had a lot of love for Johnny and Tara, I absolutely loved them in this show—even when it seemed like they had no idea what they were doing. They’re always a joy to watch in my book. But they didn’t really play a great game, which actually contributed to why they made it to the final 5. Once there, though, they couldn’t flip the final vote they needed to get rid of Eric.
Yet, it was closer than I thought it would be. And they were the only ones, even if a bit late, who clocked both Rob and Eric. Considering all of that, can we really say they played such a bad game? This is about results, and it kinda worked for them.
Lyra: The only reason why Johnny and Tara made it this far is because they played it safe. They let other people lead the charge and sat back watching as things fell into place. (I’m looking at you, Tara. Remember just leaving Natalie to dry last week?) And in a way that’s a whole strategy in itself. But then it also means you actually didn’t play the game. You were just leftovers. So yes, I was happy when Tara and Johnny got eliminated and no, they didn’t deserve to make it this far.
2. Eric was really upset at Rob’s betrayal. In fact, everyone was really upset about everything. Do you feel like this season we saw a lot of people take the game too personally?
Lizzie: I would betray my husband in this game if needed. I don’t know why people come into a game like this with people they literally just met and take anything as personally as most of these people took everything. The game would have been so different if everyone could have played it like a game without letting their emotions get in the way. And I kinda get Eric, because he didn’t see that Maura kinda backed Rob into a corner, but he should have been playing his own game and he just wasn’t. He was content to play Rob’s game until it bit him in the ass.
Lyra: I will give Eric that this whole finale must’ve been stressful. The whole show was probably stressful AF, really. But this is what you signed up for. And you can’t be betrayed and hurt that Rob wasn’t a faithful when the show is literally called The Traitors.
And I love a good bit of entertainment like everyone else. But there’s a difference between how Maura and Eric reacted for a reason. Maura knows this is entertainment for reality TV. Eric thought he and Rob were actually in this together as friends. Both hurt at Rob’s betrayal. But both coming at it from vastly different places. Either way, hope they can make up because I actually think Rob and Eric bonded just like Rob and Maura did.
P.S. I’m with Lizzie. I would betray her in a heartbeat. And I would expect her to betray me. This is a game after all.
3. Did you clock Rob betraying Eric from the start? Do you think he wanted to betray him?
Lizzie: I always thought there was a possibility. And I know Maura kinda backed him into it, but I think he would have probably done it anyway, as long as he thought he could win alone. He picked Eric and not someone like Maura because I think he was always someone who could help, and yet someone he could also betray at the end if needed. I think once Rob saw that he had a chance to win alone, he took it, and I don’t blame him. That’s the game.
Lyra: From the very moment that Rob picked Eric, I knew there was a possibility that he would betray Eric. Even then, I clocked Rob wrong because I thought he was going to throw Eric under the bus as soon as possible. But he didn’t. He worked with him and seemed genuinely like he didn’t want to pick Eric at the end. Maybe Rob learned from his previous traitor work with Candiace and Lisa. But at the end of the day, Rob played the game, something that I feel like a lot of people forgot about at that castle.
4. Maura took a leap of faith with Rob and lost. What did you think about her reaction? Will she forgive him eventually?
Lizzie: I think Maura’s reaction was probably how I would have reacted. Like, obviously, there’s shock. Obviously, she wanted to win. But also, there’s a certain grudging respect underneath the shock. Because Rob really played a good game. So yeah, I think her reaction was warranted, but she’ll probably forgive him. I think there are plenty of other people who hate Rob more than Maura.
Lyra: Maura’s reaction was perfect. Because all season long people have been reducing Maura to a love struck woman taken in by Rob’s good looks and overalls. The actual hurt in Maura’s face when she found out the truth combined with the fact that she told him to “shut up” for a moment there while she processed things, she believed in their friendship. And I bet there was plenty that we didn’t see because even Rob didn’t seem to be that happy either at winning because he hurt his friend.
But I loved Maura’s begrudging respect after even more. She’s mad, as she has every right to be, but Rob played the game. He kept his cool, did some things that he probably never thought was possible, and made it to the end. So good on him. And good on Maura for standing up for herself and expressing her hurt and frustration. I think they can work it out and be friends again. But that’s going to happen all off camera as it shoud.
5. What do you hope is addressed during The Traitors reunion?
Lizzie: Well, the Candiace and Rob of it all. I also want to see what Eric has to say to learning how things went down and how Rob didn’t really throw him under the bus first; it was Maura who was convinced he was a traitor. I also wish this show had a final moment where everyone gets to see who won. I would like to hear about how every person reacted to learning who won.
Lyra: I’m with Lizzie on wanting to see all the other players reactions to Rob making it to the end. I also really want to see what Lisa and Colton have to say to each other. Apparently my TikTok has been feeding me things and Lisa said something happened during the reunion that she hopes makes it to air.
I also want to see Candiace’s reaction to Rob winning. Because she clocked him and didn’t go down easy. So there’s either going to be respect between two traitors or she’s going to tell him how she really feels. Either way, we will be entertained.
6. Are you happy with Rob’s win?
Lizzie: Yes! I was rooting for Rob pretty early on. I had no specific allegiance to him before, had never even seen him, but I think he was the most interesting character this season, and I kinda kept thinking he’d get caught at some point, and he never did. So you just have to tip your cap to the guy. He deserved it.
Lyra: 100% happy with Rob’s win. And this is coming from two people who never watched his season of Love Island USA. The only thing I knew about him was that he was super dramatic and could roll his eyes like the best of them. So I immediately wrote him off as soon as he started the show. But little by little he won me over, playing the traitor role beautifully whole not being an asshole about it. And that’s a delicate balance that should be celebrated.
All episodes of The Traitors Season 4 are available on Peacock. As for the reunion, it will air directly after the finale.
Maybe don’t make the first sentence a complete spoiler that shows up whenever this link is recommended. My fault for being online but can we chill maybe?
Added a big and bold spoiler warning on the first sentence so that pops up on preview if anything. Thanks for pointing that out!
