We watch a lot of TV and movies! So yeah, we’re fangirling over a lot of things! Each week we come together to highlight all the feels they give us throughout the week. On these Fangirlish Feels of the Week, there are five categories and many thoughts! Ready?
Here we go!
Best Scene of the Week

Raquel: Jamie and Claire’s fight on this week’s Outlander!! Jealous Jamie is hilarious…and hot. And Claire is putting up with her stubborn Scotsman as best she can, LOL. But, as always, they end up closer than ever, because they are one. And there’s nothing and no one that can come between them.
Rachel: Well, it’s more of a moment than a scene, but I loved seeing Grogu at the Oscars! I know there is a lot of great television to choose from right now, but Grogu (still getting used to calling him that instead of Baby Yoda!) is so cute that he instantly make me feel better. SIgourney Weaver referencing her Aliens role by telling Kate Hudson to, “Get away from him, you b*itch!” was the laugh I needed.
Lyra: There’s this new movie on Netflix called War Machine. Now it’s not going to win an Oscar or change lives. It’s your everyday film where “humanity unites against an alien invasion.” But there was this one moment where they’re fighting the robot alien and it looks like they might have a chance. THEN IT REVEALS IT HAS A MOUTH! That’s when I was like nope. Pack it up. You’re dying. I’m dying. But honestly, it was just nice to be surprised. Films don’t do that. Even cheesy ones.
Erin: Every scene in this weeks Love Story. Sarah Pidgeon and Paul Anthony Kelly were fantastic. I could not tear my eyes away from the screen. When Carolyn was begging John to stay, I lost it. There were lots of moments in this episode, so I am just gonna say the entire show.
Ship of the Week

Raquel: Aside from Jamie and Claire, I have to mention The Rookie‘s Chenford! I loved how fiercely Tim wanted to protect Lucy. He was wrong in how he approached it, of course, but still. And the best part? The best part was that they communicated. Lucy told him how she felt, and Tim realized he’d messed up and learned to do better. Now that’s character development.
Erin: I know that Hope Valley: 1874 just started but I ship Rebecca and Tom so hard. They aren’t even together, but I swear they should be.
Best Performance of the Week

Raquel: Again, Melissa O’Neil on ABC’s The Rookie. She made me feel everything when Lucy spoke to Marvin’s sister. Her regret, her sadness. Even the realization that she couldn’t do anything else. She was brilliant!
Lyra: Oliver Stark in 9-1-1. Right now his character Buck is about to go on probably the hardest journey of his life. And Stark did an amazing job balancing out the starkly different emotions that come with hiding a secret. He sold his characters ability to pack it up and act like everything’s alright. But he also sold those quiet moments where the depression and horror of what happened felt like it was crushing him.
Erin: I don’t think that anyone can compete with Sarah Pidgeon in this weeks Love Story. The entire episode had us in a chokehold. And by us, I mean me.
Moment that Annoyed Us This Week

Raquel: The confrontation between Morgan and Captain Wagner on this week’s High Potential was good. We liked what we saw, but we expected much more. This man used her and then abandoned her to face the consequences. He didn’t lift a finger to prevent her being fired. Why didn’t Morgan confront him about it?
Miah: When Robby wasn’t as gracious with Samira’s apology as he was with Ogilvie’s apology in The Pitt this week. Robby has gone after Samira ALOT this season, and it’s not a good look. From laughing at her panic attack and looking for the only other man in the room’s support (a man he has said four words to this season), to being harder on her than when a man intern (the most annoying intern ever) makes a mistake. Yes she is Ogilvie’s superior, but he was the one who made the mistake because he assumes he knows it all, which in my opinion is much more dangerous than Samira having emotions, empathy and being generally human.
Rachel: Sean Penn winning Best Supporting Actor at the Oscars. He did not need another one. And he didn’t even show up! DELROY LINDO SHOULD HAVE WON.
Lyra: I’m with Rachel on this. Sean Penn? For real? For One Battle After Another? No. He was the worst part of that movie and made me cringe anytime he opened his mouth or was on my screen. But Delroy Lindo’s Delta Slim, now that’s a memorable character grounded in decades worth of this actors talent.
Quote of the Week

Raquel: “I would always hate him for taking your full heart.” “Your hair is every color of the earth, but there, it’s the color of the moon.” “Did I break the skin?” “You do that every time you touch me, Sassenach” — Jamie Fraser AKA The King of Men to Claire in Outlander.
Rachel: “Even a nobody is more powerful than you think.”– David Borenstein, director of Mr. Nobody Against Putin, in his Oscar acceptance speech.
Lyra: “I stand here because of the people that came before me: Sidney Poitier, Denzel Washington, Halle Berry, Jamie Foxx, Forrest Whitaker, Will Smith.” – Michael B. Jordan after winning his Oscar.
