Chicago Med Season 11, Episode 19 ‘Exit Strategies’ picks up where the last episode left off. Except this episode is all about bad fathers, like, really bad fathers. On one hand, there’s Hannah’s dad.
When she helps a pregnant woman, something shifts. It’s not just the situation—it hits too close to home, dragging parts of her past back to the surface. That’s what pushes her to confront her father. And, predictably, he doesn’t take it well. The pregnancy, the lack of a stable relationship, the absence of a traditional path forward… to him, it’s all wrong. His reaction feels outdated, like he’s stuck in another era entirely.
However, he’s not the worst father, believe it or not.
That dubious honor goes to Frost’s dad. At the same time, he finally says what he’s been carrying for years. He calls his father out for failing him. He was just a kid, taken advantage of by someone much older, and the one person who should have stepped in simply didn’t. No protection, no support—nothing. He had to deal with it alone, and that absence still lingers. And that scarred him for life. So we’re proud that he’s having the courage to face what happened.
