It’s kinda funny that I love werewolf drama, because I definitely never thought that I would. Reviewing them? Nope, didn’t think that would happen either. Never thought that I would be so addicted to vertical dramas, but wtching them, reviewing them – I will and there are no regrets about that. Divorce Tears From The Alpha, But I Shine Alone had me sat – but Ryan Vincent does that.
There is something about a man being overly dramatic – but also acting like an Alpha or a CEO or a mafia head that has my attention. Well only in the entertainment space cause if you wanna act like this in real life, then you can just go away. But will I watch this ridiculousness. Abso-f**king-lutely.
Give me the bad CGI, the horrible shoes, the too many times of someone saying “good girl” and the ex that is always manipulative trash.
In this drama, “Ella, a mistreated Luna who divorces Holden, her cold Alpha husband, after he schemes against her, favors his childhood sweetheart Ivy, and plans to abort their child. Ella leaves, eventually embracing her role as the princess of the Silver Snow Clan.”

Look, Ryan Vincent plays villian really well. He also manages to make anyone love and hate his characters. Sometimes I think that the characters that he plays are misunderstood and he likes to play them that way. This character – Holden – well he’s an a**. He’s definitely not misunderstood, but he just doesn’t like himself.
Alpha Holden has the worst ex in a woman named Ivy. She’s bat crap crazy. Ivy manipulated him into thinking that Ella is pure evil, but Ivy is pure evil. She fakes that her legs don’t work and guilt trips Holden into putting her first. She made him believe that Ella manipulated the shaman into making them mates.
So what that is obviously conveying is Alpha Holden is dumb. He’s obviously unable to see what is right in front of him and he clearly doesn’t like being told what he should do. My issue is that he automatically assumed that everyone but his mate was telling the truth. But would he miss the opportunity to use her as a sex toy? Nope. He was all over that.
Ella loved Holden no matter what. She kept waiting for him to come around, even though he didn’t deserve her. When she finally leaves him, she learns that she’s the missing princess of the the Silver Snow pack.
And it’s a good thing that she left. He told the doctor that if she ever got pregnant that he should terminate that pregnancy immediately. There is no forgiveness for that. I would have probably been in jail. But she is determined to have her baby and protect him at all costs – as a mother does.
When she takes over as Alpha so her pops can retire, we applauded. First female alpha? Yess queen. When she goes to the big Alpha meeting, and sees her ex after 5 years and he’s brought the girl that forced you apart – woulda not spoken to him. But she doesn’t care. She talks and she lets him seduce her.
Do better queen.

So what he’s spent time looking for you. He shoulda been present when you two were married. Forgiveness would not be on the list of something I would do. Yet, she allows herself to be seduced. To each their own, I guess.
If there is one thing that this vertical taught me is that exes are vindictive. Since we can all be exes, we need to watch ourselves and make sure we’re being good people. Cause man, you let bitterness get to you and it’s a slippery slope.
Eventually, Ella’s son Reagan goes searching for his Dad. For being six, he’s quite the rebel and we kinda love that. He sees Holden and he knows that he’s his Dad. It didn’t matter that his Mom had seperated the bond when he was born.
After their time apart – at first I didn’t think that Holden would have changed. But he did. He changed a lot. I guess that sometimes that loosing something makes you realize how much you loved it in the first place. Holden and Ella were perfect for each other, once they stopped listening to outside noises.
He takes a bullet for her, reminding her that he promised to protect her. But when he almost dies you can see that everyones world would be torn apart if he’s gone. Don’t you know it’s the son that he basically just met that saves him by putting his own necklace back on him?
Will there be a happy ever after? We’re led to believe that there will be. But regardless, we’re a sucker for a happy ending. so we’ll live with the belief that there will be one.
