Maddie (JoAnna Garcia Swisher), Helen (Heather Headley), and Dana Sue (Brooke Elliott) are back for Sweet Magnolias Season 5! And this time, they’re “chasing their dreams” in New York City. Well, at least Maddie is. In fact, the city that never sleeps is going to be key to this new season.
In the words of showrunner Sheryl J. Anderson for TUDUM, they “wanted to give everybody that thrilling New York adventure. In everybody chasing their dreams, somebody’s catching them, some people are finding they were changed, and some people are just stumbling,” says Anderson. “We like having the three ladies in different places every season.”
Plus, plus… what’s going on with Ty and Annie? If we’ve invested in anything outside the main three, it’s the two of them. Can they get their happily ever after? And how does that look for kids so young vs. their moms? We can’t wait to find out.
