ReelShort is doubling down on book-to-drama adaptations, and I can definitely respect that. Wish that they would do that more and AI a lot less. Sorry, had to go there. The app has been adapting a lot of Cora Reilly books lately, and I will be the first to say that she does a good mafia story. I will also say that with a lot of these adaptations, I am enjoying them better than the books.
The latest – out August 13th – is Bound By Duty, which stars Casey Schryer and Chase Mattson. When I think of Chase Mattson, him playing a Don is something he is really good at. He manages to make them all feel different and yet all so intimidating.

PLOT
