For once we love news on Sydney Sweeney that doesn’t have to do with who she is dating or what she is not wearing. We get it – she’s an actor that you either love or dislike. There is little in between there.
The woman is booked and busy and TBH, we respect that hustle. She’s not letting herself be defined by one type of character. She’s flexing her muscles for all types of characters.
She’ll be starring in Sony’s Hollow based on filmmaker Lindsey Anderson Beer’s forthcoming debut novel. Beer is also set to adapt her novel and will be directing. The book is set to be published in 2027 by Putnam.
Now, Belmont Cameli is set to star opposite Sweeney in the film. Definitely excited to see him in this. The Legend of Sleepy Hollow has long been a favorite story.
The novel reimagines The Legend of Sleepy Hollow through the eyes of Katrina Van Tassel, who will be played by Sweeney. Rather than casting Katrina as a romantic prize, the story places her at the center of a dangerous mystery and a seductive supernatural love triangle. Blending gothic atmosphere with psychological intrigue and erotic-thriller tension, the novel offers a contemporary, high-concept take on Washington Irving’s classic tale.
Cameli taking on the role of Brom Bones is something that we’re definitely looking forward to. Now the question remains – who will take on the role of Ichabod Crane.
