We’re loving that the cast of Off Campus is everywhere. They are all booked and busy, which as a fandom person – that is exciting. We’ll follow them wherever they go and watch whatever they are in. One of our favorites – Ella Bright – has booked a new role in a studio feature. The role?
Bright has booked the female lead opposite Mason Thames in Narcs. Narcs is a coming of age comedy coming from Sony Pictures.
Now, plot details for Narcs are being kept under wraps. We’ll make assumptions, of course, based on the title. A Narc is a tatle tale, a rat – so someone’s reporting on someone’s wrongdoings. But we know that it has got to be funny. The script comes from the minds of Jordan & Justin Shipley (creators of TBS comedy Wrecked) with a rewrite by John Phillips & frequent collaborator Gene Stupnitsky.
John Phillips writing credits include the R-rated comedies No Hard Feelings, Good Boys and Dirty Grandpa, so you can’t convince me that it won’t be funny.
We should also mention that Phillips will be making his directorial debut with the film.
We loved Bright in The Crown, where she played Kate Middleton. We’re obsessed with Off Campus. She’s gonna do great in this role.
