Wait, did we read this right? Auliʻi Cravalho has joined the cast of Icebreakers? We didn’t see that one coming. It was announced that Daisy Jelley (Poser, How to Have Sex, Geek Girl) will play “Anastasia ‘Stassie’ Allen” and Connor Simos (Subversion) will play “Nate Hawkins.”
The new college romance drama series, Icebreaker, is based on the #1 New York Times best-selling novel by Hannah Grace.
Today is was announced that several additions have been made to the cast.
- Gabriel Tierney (Rivals, Enola Holmes 2) as “Aaron”
- Auliʻi Cravalho (Moana) as “Lola”
- Newcomer and professional athlete Peter Berry as “Robbie”

If you haven’t read the book, the logline of the show is, “she’s the transfer gunning for Olympic gold. He’s the campus star chasing the NHL. But when an accident forces their teams to share one rink, Anastasia Allen and Nate Hawkins collide—and discipline gives way to obsession, because the only thing more dangerous than wanting to win is wanting each other.”
We have to admit we’re very excited for this.
