NCIS Season 24, Episode 1 ‘Wayward Son’ brings back Tony DiNozzo, but it has a lot of other issues to solve that aren’t the why and how DiNozzo is even back. In fact, Tony returning might be the easiest thing to explain. If anything, our question is: where is Ziva, and why isn’t she with him? Well, that, and since when is Tony good at being away from his daughter? That was a whole thing.
But we also have the issue of Matteo, McGee’s son, who presumably shot someone or was shot by someone (Nick) at the end of the Season 23 finale. Is he okay? What was he up to? Not to mention, there’s the question of Gabriel LaRoche. Are we really stuck with him as Vance’s replacement? Can anyone save us?
