Chicago P.D. Season 14, Episode 3 ‘Under the Surface’ will likely give us some separation from the pain of saying goodbye to Kevin Atwater, even if it’s just a small time jump. Because the show has to just get into it, this time with what looks to be a pretty gruesome case that hits close to home for Voight. This is very typical of the show: a switch from something very emotional to a focus on Voight.
This time, though, that focus comes with a question: what about the FBI agent in their midst? So far, Charlie has given the team no problem, and no help either. He was just there, not in the way, but also not collaborating in any way. That’s probably enough for Voight to side-eye him, and to worry. I am worried. He’s a smoking gun, and we know what that means for the future.
But Voight is still in charge, so what does this Charlie do next? Is he going to cause trouble? Or, better question: how is he going to cause trouble?

Are there Photos for ‘Under the Surface’?
As it’s the theme with Chicago P.D., the photos tell us nothing other than these characters are good at standing in a way that gives them the best angle for photos. Well, that, and Dante might not be around this episode.
Is There a Synopsis for the Hour?
Yes, and it seems to confirm this will focus not just on the case but on Voight trying to figure out what’s up with the FBI agent in their midst. So far he’s seemed mostly harmless, but that’s likely not all there is about him. There’s gotta be some hidden motive, and we don’t believe it’s just bureocratic.

Has a Promo for the Episode Been Released?
Yes, and it’s very Voight-centric, which, knowing this show, means it’s a Voight-centric hour. Likely case-heavy, too. However, there’s still that matter of that pesky FBI agent for us to deal with.
