Chicago P.D. Season 14, Episode 4 ‘Dark Imaginings’ is finally a Kim Burgess episode, and boy, has it been a while. And her life has changed a lot since the last time we got a fully Kim-focused episode. How has she been dealing with the move? With being a Detective? How does she feel about Kevin moving? There’s so much we would love to know about not just her life, but her feelings.
It seems fitting that we get this episode as the Intelligence Unit gets a new member, too, because Kim is the one people will follow when Voight is not around. So how she relates to everyone on the team matters a lot, as well.
And hey, getting to see her go undercover is always very fun. Of course, that’s a lot to fit in an hour, but we’ll be happy if we explore where Kim is these days and get a little glimpse of what that means for the character going forward.

Photos
Not much to see here, just Kim undercover and a little bit of how Donovan Watts fits in with the unit. Also, Dante is back! Where even was he? Are they going to address it? Smart money’s on no, but one can hope. Now the question is, are we missing Imani this episode or do we get the full team?

Synopsis
The show hasn’t really addressed the Burzek move, only made it clear that it happened, so it’s good that this hour will give us Kim’s POV of it. It’s nice when the show brings in Makalya too, but I would love for this to be a mostly Kim episode. Of course, you cannot separate someone fully from her husband or her family, and she does exist within the context of the team, but I want to understand her feelings and thoughts above it all.
Here is the synopsis:
Burgess takes on a risky undercover assignment while struggling to feel settled in her new house.
Promo
Marina Squerciati kills it in just this little glimpse of Kim undercover, because it’s like she’s a different person. Very good sign for what’s to come this hour.
