The Once Upon A Time news just keeps on coming! And with San Diego Comic-Con next week, it doesn’t look like it will stop anytime soon.
First, let’s start with casting. EW is reporting that Once Upon a Time has tapped Giles Matthey to play the role of Morpheus in season 6. He’s set to appear in at least the first episode of the season.
Matthey’s character is described as the quick-witted and insightful god of dreams from Greek mythology. He’s equally good at reading people as he is at hiding his own agenda. He will, of course, be doing what Morpheus does best — guiding people through the world of dreams.
The news doesn’t stop there, though. TV Line says that despite previous reports of Scheherazade and Simbad would be coming from the Land of Untold Stories onto Storybrooke, Once Upon A Time might actually just be trying to trick us. The roles could very well be that of Aladdin and Jasmine, two characters fans have clamored for.
The show has already pulled a switch like that on us, when they “reportedly” sent out a casting call for Rumplestiltksin’s mother – which turned out to be a casting call for Merida.
