We’re always here for some one-on-one time with Paget Brewster’s Unit Chief Prentiss, but we’re thinking Garcia might temporarily disagree with us after what goes down in our exclusive clip from Criminal Minds: Evolution 17×03. Remember how our very own Penelope Garcia, Kirsten Vangsness, told us her character was taking Tyler Green’s return “not well”? (Insert a few more instances of “not well, not well” here.) Unfortunately for her, but fortunately for our entertainment, “Homesick” serves up yet another Tyler-related complication.
As you’ll see in the sneak peek below, Emily needs Penelope to talk to her ex. And despite Garcia telling Prentiss “as you know, helping is my kink,” she’s…going to have a difficult time delivering on that particular variety of help. Even so, it’s not like saying no to the boss is easy — especially when that boss is also a very dear friend. Which means hilarity, above and beyond Penelope’s initial attempt to play it cool, ensues. (So much for “anticipating a need.”)

If you want to know what, exactly, Prentiss’ message for Tyler Green is, you’ll have to stream Criminal Minds: Evolution 17×03 when it drops this Thursday, June 13, on Paramount+. But maybe the official episode description (courtesy of Paramount) might be of some help:
Homesick
The BAU is called to Houston to investigate the “Moving Day Murders” and track a ritualistic killer with a twisted method of subduing his victims. JJ convinces Sydney Voit to allow her estranged husband one last meeting to say goodbye to his girls before they are put into witness protection. Tyler goes rogue with the Gold Star investigation by cloning the phone of a person of interest. Prentiss receives intel that she could be in the crosshairs of conspiracy theorists.
Whatever you do, you’re not going to want to miss this one…
New episodes of Criminal Minds: Evolution release weekly on Paramount+.
