It sounds like Wonder Woman might be coming to Supergirl.
Supergirl executive producers Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg teased former Wonder Woman Lynda Carter’s debut on the show…soon, as in not this season, but next (via EW).
While Supergirl has yet to officially be renewed for season two, earlier this month CBS CEO Les Moonves announced that the network plans on renewing the superhero drama for another season.
“We had the perfect role for Lynda Carter,” Berlanti said. “We couldn’t work out her schedule. Next year.”
While it wasn’t in the cards for Supergirl‘s freshman run, Kreisberg said that it’s definitely something that’s going to happen.
“We’re going to do it, we’ll just do it next year,” he said.
“All right, she’s the female president of the United States,” Berlanti followed.
Well, I guess we won’t know her actual role until it happens, but count us psyched for Carter to join a list of former superhero alums, like Dean Cain, Helen Slater, and Laura Vandervoort, in making an appearance on the show.
Supergirl airs Mondays at 8/7c on CBS.
