The CW’s latest superhero project has found its lead hero.
Friday Night Lights and Hart of Dixie alum Cress Williams has landed the lead role of Jefferson Pierce, also known as our masked titular hero, Black Lightning, in The CW’s Black Lightning pilot.
Pierce is described as “a teacher with a daughter hell-bent on justice that pulls him back into the fight as the wanted vigilante and DC legend Black Lightning.”
Black Lightning marks Greg Berlanti’s fifth superhero show on The CW joining the likes of Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, and Legends of Tomorrow.
